We visited on the Sunday 25 Jan. We drove up and parked
A very nice woman walking to her car to leave seen we were visiting with my disabled husband. She immediately said” let me help” and she did. Her name is Shara. She escorted us in and then made sure we had adequate seating to accommodate our needs. Later during our lunch I was told she was an employee on her way home, the end of her shift. Wow, how considerate was Shara to take her time and help us. Thank you Shara..
We also had the most delightful hostess, Heather. She also was so considerate of my husband. She makes great tartar sauce too. We had the patty melt with o ion rings and my daughter had the shrimp platter
The food was great the drinks tasty and we had the best celebration for my son.
I thank the you both for being so kind.
It is difficult to travel with a large wheel chair and these two women made it a great day.

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed in this spot, man. I’ve come here for a few years now, and it’s always been in high regard for me. I got the triple decker turkey sandwich. It came with 3 slices of sandwich meat and 2 pieces of bacon. I’ve included a picture from their own Google photos of what it’s looked like before and what I received. For $20, I could’ve easily gone to Blackbear or any other major chain diner for that same amount price. I am trying to eat local and show love to a place with lots of history. But they are making it very hard to return. My server was very nice and the atmosphere was lively. But the food is what makes me hesitant to come back unfortunately.

Great little country cafe. Staff was friendly and personable. Food was hot, fresh and the portions were big. The atmosphere definitely has that “locals only” kind of vibe but we were made to feel more than welcome. Highly recommend the country potatoes extra crispy! Hope to go back soon!

Worst Patty Melt I’ve ever had. I ordered it without onions as I always do whenever I order one but this one had ZERO flavor. Everyone else’s food looked super basic as well. The restaurant is very dated and a bit depressing.

Hands down one of the worst hamburgers I have had in my life and let’s not talk about the customer service. My double cheeseburger was the special for $16.99 and let me tell you McDonald’s hamburgers are way better than these. Also the lady with tattoos in the long hair that was wearing the skirt that was helping us had very poor customer service no type of interaction with the customers at all but she seemed to cater to the elderly people that were there playing bingo and was being really nice to them and then when it came to us we got a whole different service. She took my plate away and didn’t even ask if I was done with it which I wasn’t. We will never return here again the food was horrible and the customer service was worse

Food was terrible! Steaks way over done= ordered rare/ medium rare, came out very well done. Took home to dogs!! $$ for dog food. We even1 traded steaks to see if it was something i could eat. No! NY better than Ribeye or whatever it was.

I’ve been coming to the Banta Inn ever since I can remember; so, if you’re in the area, this is definitely the place to eat at.
It’s got good food, a friendly atmosphere, and an interesting history. Portion sizes are generous, and I highly recommend their prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays.
They have a separate bar area too, if that’s more to your liking, and live music on some days as well. Order in or take it away, either is delicious.
