Reviews
For this one occasion, the Habit was offering a promotion for a free Chicken Club sandwich with a $5 purchase, during a specific time period and I was cashing in on that promo on the last possible day.
The ordering process began well, but somewhere in the middle of me asking for a side or an extra condiment the attitude and interaction changed for the worst. For some reason after serving up days of Free Chicken Club Sandwiches to customers’, the staff at this location somehow managed to mess up my order. Only with the Sandwich, not with the tempura green beans.
It wasn’t a huge ordeal, but it was a surprise that they began acting differently and that they messed with my order. I didn’t get to bring it to the attention of the staff working that day, instead, I addressed it with Corporate who handled it quickly and appropriately, and I really appreciate they were so concerned and willing to help.
The new Chicken Club Sandwich is really tasty and really good.
The burger was solid and the green beans were piping hot. Adding all those hot pickled peppers brings up the flavor several notches.
the dining room was clean and the cashier was friendly.
Habit burgers are better than in and out in my opinion. At least you’re full after eating a Habit burger.
Update #3 – November 2023
Still very clean, condiments/pepper bar/beverages well-stocked, bathrooms are typically decently maintained – hard to really keep up with that during high volume hours, but they are still cleaner than most establishments even then. Food is prepared quickly and accurately. It’s really nice to get fries that are actually hot! Cooks & counter help work hard, they are friendly and polite. Nice outdoor patio to enjoy during nice weather. No complaints at all. Five stars!
Update #2: August 2023 Looks like this place got updated – new paint, new light fixtures, tables, chairs, automatic paper towel dispensers in the bathroom. We didn’t feel that it needed a new look, but it does look nice. More importantly to us is that the staff continues to be super friendly, works efficiently to get our family’s meals prepared quickly, and the quality has not gone down at all. Still terribly annoyed by the lack of parking spaces and how small they are, but that is a Persimmon Place issue, and we highly doubt that will change soon if at all.
Update- Our family is enjoying the Impossible Burger. We have added it as protein to our salad instead of animal products. Fries are generously portioned. Restaurant is clean. Don’t appreciate guests who aren’t wearing masks when they’re not eating though.
Always friendly service. Great juice drinks made in house, nice condiment bar with chili, jalapeno, & pepperoncini peppers, along with various name-brand bottled sauces. Wish there were more vegan options, house salad could be more generously portioned. Bathrooms typically cleaner than most fast casual establishments.
Update: ciabatta bread for chicken sandwich is fresh with great texture; fried green beans are crispy, a big surprise in a good way!
I’ll be back to try their Golden Fried Chicken sandwich to see if it’s better than Chick-Fil-A’s spicy chicken. The Santa Barbara char with sourdough and the Portabello char also look like they’re worth trying.
Service was very friendly and fast. Prices were fair for the quality.
11/26/19 Update: Their Teriyaki Burger is excellent without the cheese. Also, I really enjoy their drinks as an alternative to sodas. This location has a much better layout and spacing compared to the one in Livermore. Fries aren’t worth getting. Overall, I’m upgrading this Habit to 5 stars.
