Absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, well balanced, and full of flavor. The banh mi was perfectly made—crispy bread, tender protein, fresh pickled veggies, and great sauces. The spring rolls were golden, crispy, and not greasy at all, paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh and the food is made with care. Definitely coming back!

I was intending to leave this place very unhappy, but the food was pretty good so that changed my mind. The reason I was initially upset was because I believed the prices are a bit high. I still believe so

It’s not a full restaurant. There’s no wait staff. It’s a walk up to the counter, place your order, take a number type of place.

The food came out quick and HOT!

I ordered the spicy meatless pho (meatless because I didn’t want to pay extra for meat). It was delicious! And it was SPICY! The fresh ingredients of the pho were very nice.

The other person in my party had a beef and rice entree which they enjoyed too.

I wish I could come here more often. It’s just very expensive. Thai tea was $6.50. I hope they work on re-pricing the menu.

Very disappointing. Went here to get a banh mi to go (cold cut) to eat on the plane. They told me they don’t have cold cut ..?? This is the most basic banh mi, mind you. Ordered their popcorn chicken, and it was the driest chicken i had in years… couldn’t even chew it properly. The table seating is very uncomfortable for people above 6 foot
Service was slow as well.

2 stars only
because team was nice.

Love this place for a quality, healthy meal. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistently great. My fiancé is obsessed with the hot honey wings, so unique! One of my favorite spots to grab dinner for a chill night in.

Nam Eatery is an absolute gem in the Heights and a must-visit for anyone craving fresh, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine in the neighborhood. Conveniently, they offer a few private parking spots out front shared with the neighboring business. The restaurant itself has a laid-back vibe—order at the counter, take a number, and find a spot while they prepare your meal.

Everything is made from scratch, and you can truly taste the difference in each dish. Their menu is packed with Vietnamese classics, including a variety of pho, banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches), vermicelli bowls, and more.

+Pho Tofu for $13 – I love the pho here, and this is the one I order almost every time. It’s perfect when you’re feeling under the weather, during cold days, or whenever you’re just craving something comforting and satisfying. – 5/5

Nam Eatery has earned its reputation as a neighborhood favorite for good reason—every meal feels like a home-cooked masterpiece, served with care and flavor. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

First time ever to this place. You order at the counter and you pay at the counter and when you pay the the first thing that comes up is how much you want to tip. How would I know how much I want to tip when all I’ve done is order my food at the counter. I don’t like to tip before I get my food I like to see how the services and how the food is. So that was a turn off.. they also add a dollar for being a local business to stay open to contribute to the cost of the to go containers and napkins and stuff like that. I guess that also was a turn off. I didn’t notice that until I read the paper menu when I sat down, I think they should include prices for containers and cups and such in the price of the item you’re buying.

I had the barbecue pork sandwich it was good. I also ordered pork fried rice with the pineapple which $16 or $17 seemed kind of pricey for an order of fried rice. I had to ask them to include some soy sauce and some hoisin sauce for the rice for when I got home since I only want the fried rice to take home and I ate the sandwich there. The fried rice was OK. It had red and bell green peppers in it. I’ve never had pork fried rice that had bell peppers in it. It made it have a different taste than I was used to, but not in a good way. I probably will never go back because I don’t go to Houston that often but if I do, I’ll get it without the bell peppers and I want to pay $17 for fried rice and nine dollars for sandwich.

I don’t see the point of chipping before you get your food because the person who took the order at the register didn’t even bring the sandwich or the rice out . I drank water and you have to get up and get it yourself, so what exactly are you tipping for before you actually get your food and be served. a waitress for many years tip means to ensure prompt service or to ensure proper service. How would you know what kind of service you get if you have to tip when you pay before you get your food.

Basically, I spent $25 for one sandwich and an order of pineapple pork fried rice. They should cut the pineapple up smaller it was too big for the rice.

This place is semi-spacious with plenty of seating for individual, couples or small groups to dine. The majority of orders are take-out, so if you just want to eat in peace, seating is normally not a problem.

The bahn mi sandwiches are great tasting and texture. Don’t forget to pair it with a steamy bowl of pho as they both are fair priced, quality and flavor.

They also have plenty of drink options from beer, to tea, to soft drinks and coffee.

Decent pho spot with plenty of parking. The pho is good—not too oily—and the toppings come on the side, which I like. The place is clean, and the pho tastes homemade. I ordered the brisket bowl, and it was solid.

Sriracha, sauces, and water are self-serve near the cashier. It gets busy during weekday lunch, so expect a bit of a crowd. The cashier could work on their customer service—blunt and not very friendly when asked a question. Some servers don’t speak much English, and the cart they push around is pretty loud and distracting.

The place has a no-frills vibe, which makes sense why people keep coming back. They have a big menu, including bubble tea. The chairs and booth benches could use some fixing, as they feel unstable. Overall, not bad—the chalk decorations add a nice touch.

Food was good. Hard to find pineapple fried rice, but this place had it! The chunks were a unique experience- I’m used to smaller or shredded, almost hidden within/mixed in the rice. Also I had to get up numerous times to go to the center of the restaurant to get different things- napkins, Sriracha sauce, pepper sauce, a knife, and this was not the most convenient.
