It’s nice they have a food option in the hospital. Its fine enough although a bit pricier than I recall, maybe for the in-hospital convenience?
The one gentleman who serviced me was great, but I went back in the evening and was rudely told they were closing well before actual closing time after asking the cashier how she was doing. This isn’t some fancy 4 star restaurant where they need to bus your table and it wasn’t 6:59… this is a fast food option. I asked the person if she’d prefer I not buy something and she said fliply that it was up to me. I left without buying anything as a direct result of her rudeness.
Am only giving this review because you operate in a hospital. You’re feeding, and profiting, off of medical professionals and the families of people who are stuck at a hospital… I found the rudeness and lack of willingness to help to be really disappointing. I’m stuck sleeping overnight in a hospital and I get attitude for trying to give you business during business hours? Come on. Unacceptable.
I ended up needing to take my car to find something, leaving my partner alone in the hospital- which i didn’t want to do. Coincidentally, or maybe out of spite, I ended up going to a firehouse subs less than a mile away that is open until 10 amd where I didn’t receive attitude for trying to be a patron.
If I was the manager or operator of this store, that cashier would be receiving feedback and training and if she didnt accept it then I would probably let her go.

Stephanie H has TERRIBLE customer service. You never know what people are going through or have been through being in that hospital and my daughter just got out of surgery at one years old so my morning was stressful enough to then come to this firehouse and get nasty customer service. She was rude to my husband and I because SHE did not hear us when we said we wanted the combos. She asked if we wanted anything else and we said no because we thought she got the order correct. She then asked my husband if he wanted the combo on his sandwich and he replied yes. She said “see that’s why I asked if there was anything else y’all wanted because you didn’t say you wanted the combo” and proceeded to speak with the next customers after us who specified they wanted the combo AS WE DID and she said “ okay thank you for saying that because some people don’t know you have to ask for that” and then looked over at us. Not only was her customer service nasty, she also rang up the order wrong while she was so focused on being rude. So her manager had to correct it to the correct sandwich and tell her she needed to pay attention when she was ringing up peoples orders. The manager was pleasant and gave us a cookie and brownie instead of having to do a refund, that is the only reason I gave more than one star. People are already going through a lot being in that hospital. You should be able to get some decent customer service when your just trying to eat and take your mind off of all of it for a moment.

Food was horrible! I ate my club on a sub and 30 minutes later I was vomiting! I have never experienced anything like that at any other firehouse i have been to. My husband also stated his food was horrible and the cookies didn’t look appealing to him because they were all crumbled. The customer service was awful, unpleasant, and not a welcoming atmosphere. I don’t know why they got rid of the Chick-Fil-A and put this inside instead! This was an all around horrible experience!

If I could leave 10 stars, that is what I would give to this establishment! They went above and beyond what any restaurant I have been to in a long time. I have a severe (epi pen) gluten allergy due to Celiac. Eating out is an extremely hard and often disappointing endeavor. I took the risk and off chance, after hearing Firehouse had a gluten free roll. Immediately I was greeted by the gracious, friendly and helpful staff. I explained my situation. Within seconds, it was spread across the staff and I was treated to the most amazing care. They insured that not only would my food be prepared with safety and attention to gluten-free, but presented to me personally. In these days, with customer service taking a backseat to rudeness and profit, I take a bow and tip my hat in respect to the Firehouse Sub staff at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. You deserve kudos from all you serve. Thank you.

Awful experience! I love firehouse but I went to this location last night right before closing time & my experience was absolutely awful! The lady who took my order was very rude rolling her eyes and tapping her wrist (as if it was a watch) not only was she rude we were unable to get what we wanted because they already had the store broke down ready to close for the night. Ridiculous! The drink machine was down, the teas were gone, they put the soup away already & while our sandwiches were being made the ladies making our sandwiches were giggling back and forth and one said “these sandwiches might not have any meat on them at all I’m ready to get the hell up outta here” I understand I’m in here right before you are closing but this location is in a hospital sometimes that just happens. If your door says you close at 7 you should close at 7 not 20, 15, or even 5 minutes before if there is customers in your establishment.

My wife got the ny steamer but they were out of corned beef and said it would get extra pastrami but I don’t think it did or the regular comes with just a few pieces. For the price it really isn’t worth it. It was $38 for 2 large sub combos. Better than most hospitals food though and I didn’t have to drive. Staff was awesome.

Son had surgery. Dropped down. Took 15 minutes from order to receive our food. Had to scarf our food down. Tasted a little off. I returned home 3 hours later and had explosive diarrhea. My body said get this out of me. My wife had a similar situation. They have a food born illness at this store if you don’t want to get sick don’t eat here.

Didn’t have any problems with my order and it was made pretty quick. Didn’t know they had Breakfast but I assume it’s only because of the Hospital. Still looked good though.

They need the firehouse subs for a very long time first one I experience was on college Street Jacksonville Florida 5 points area I was hooked. Over the years of eating at Firehouse is all over Northeast Florida South Georgia at 1:00 thing I particularly like is there Italian grilled chicken salad I have two ingredients on the salad that do not agree with me that is green peppers and cucumbers usually I’ll order the salad substitute the two with banana peppers and black olives visited Firehouse at Baptist hospital they’re refused to make the salad as I requested as many other Firehouse subs have done and this one has in the past of my request of the substitution they said their salads come one way they are pre-made at the end of the counter and that is all that is available just two nights ago ate out of firehouse at River City marketplace in Jacksonville Florida on Skylark drive had no oooo issues at all with ordering my food and the substitutions so why is this one Firehouse Sub so different and not willing to accommodate customers needs thank you

The three ladies fixing the food gossiped so much that they screwed up my order and took forever . My hook and latter was soggy , they gave me a tiny sliver of a pickle. And the way they cut it showed that they were more focused on their conversation than making the food properly. Ladies please do better. Side note the gentleman taking the orders was kind professional and efficient.
