This is HIROSHIMA STYLE OKONOMIYAKI CHINCHIKURIN.Hands down, this is the most popular comfort food of Hiroshima. Each layer of the okonomiyaki is perfectly grilled and carefully assembled on a searing teppan griddle. And when your nose is engulfed in the hypnotizing aroma of the Otafuku sauce as it drizzles over the edges and sizzles on the grill, it’s easy to understand why this beloved dish has nourished generations of families in Hiroshima for decades!
Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki (layered noodles, veg & protein) is the specialty at this casual venue.

Food: The good and the bad for this one and I will say the bad is probably out of personal preference rather than the dishes being bad. The good with the lunch special was the Beef Curry and the Chicken Karaage which were prepared well and were tasty. The salad and the soup were both well done and refreshing. The bad is that I am not a fan of Okonomiyaki and I feel this is from preference in tastes and textures. I also found the sauce a bit off for my flavor profile. So I cannot rate it well but it may because I cannot be a good judge of it. I would say pass on it if you are not a fan of fish/cabbage/date-soy sauce flavor combos.
Service: The service was fine the day we came but it was a little slow. My water was refilled and the bathroom was decently clean.
Ambiance: This has a good Sawtelle Blvd restaurant feel to it so you will enjoy the vibe that is in a busy area.
I tried the Classic. It was $16.
The texture of the crispy noodles was spot on. I do feel there is a lack of seasoning for the stuff in between. The one pack of okonomiyaki sauce seems to not be adequate. I’ll ask for extra one next time.
There was all but 2 strips of pork inside. Wished it had more.
I think overall it was decent
