For dessert, we both chose the pistachio cream cake. It was incredibly moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness.
Overall, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!
We started with the clams casino and antipasto, both beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Bolognese pasta was rich and perfectly balanced, and the short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Dessert sealed the deal: the cannoli was crisp and creamy, and the pistachio cream cake was out of this world.
The atmosphere was warm, classy, and lively, made even better by the live music. The singer crooned Frank Sinatra classics all night, which set the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening.
A special shoutout to Brian, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our anniversary dinner felt special. It’s rare to find a place that nails the food, service, and ambiance all at once, but Johnny Piancone’s absolutely does. We’ll definitely be back.
The service was excellent and very attentive. The owner or manager was very nice and personable. It also had a nice quiet tone. No loud rambunctious people. Nice and quiet, quaint and clean. It reminded me of the cozy restaurant from the Godfather but I think the owner or manager misconstrued my reference We are 200% going back!
Nicole was our stellar server! We had a couple of stragglers in our party, and Nicole was very patient and on point with our orders. Some of us were just having our first bite of the day at 4pm, so our appetizers of crispy golden calamari and caesar salad (lots of parmiggiano reggiano…yes!) came out very quickly. Just what we needed. Delicious!
For entrees, the majority of our party had the short ribs, which were fork tender. The Sunday Sauce is hearty and scrumptious! The pasta vodka with the addition of chicken was filling and satisfied all cravings!
Decadent desserts of tiramisu made in house, Italian cheesecake, cannoli, pistachio tartufo, and coffee gelato was a nice ending to our well paced dinner. All decadent!
Food and service were impeccable! Water glasses were always filled by our busser, and Nicole had the other servers support. Dishes were brought out simultaneously and no one was left waiting, even the stragglers. It’s as if we had a meal in someone’s home, friendly and convivial atmosphere.
The friendly owner thanked us as we were leaving, a gesture that’s missing in some establishments. What a class act!
Thank you to Nicole and the rest of the staff at Johnny Piancone’s for an amazing time! We’ll make sure to visit often!
The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable, the food was really, really good, and the service was excellent. Between the four of us, we ordered a steak, penne alla vodka, cacio e pepe, and of course chicken fingers and fries. We had sodas and water all around, and the total bill came to just $129. Honestly… are you kidding me?! For the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the attentive service, that price is almost unheard of these days.
It’s not often you find a spot that’s this cute, has such a great staff, serves delicious food, and is affordable. We’ll definitely be back!
I had the Veal parmesan Chop with a delicious pasta. My cousin had the Halibut, which was another tasty dish. We also had the Calamari first for an appetizer. It’s delicious with a slight kick with the sauce.
Go and have a great Italian meal. You won’t be disappointed.
