The best hibachi grill we ate at! The food had taste and it’s not plain , they use garlic butter that brought out the taste of the food and was sooooo good! I don’t mind coming back here next time and we enjoyed our food and ate all our food. Was fun! The guys that cooked our food was funny and awesome! So will be back.

We had a horrible experience here. There’s so much confusion between restaurant workers. We asked for hibachi they said “Sorry there’s no hibachi”. My family and I got sat at a hibachi table which was weird, all far apart from eachother. Our server had no idea what was going on. We ordered (with great difficulty) off the non hibachi menu. Then a hibachi chef came in and started prepping. We were all baffled, he then realized he was in the wrong room. Oh well…. THEN, we got our food and I have never had worse food in my life. Everyone’s food was so cooked it was inedible. The pork was hard in my pork katsu curry, the steak you couldn’t chew, the salmon so rubbery it didn’t fall apart, the lobster tail had NO LOBSTER? And the chicken was so cooked it looked like rat tails. Our server Hubert was so nice and treated us very well. But he was definitely learning. I genuinely just come back to check his progress. But everything else was one of the worst dining experiences of my life and everyone else’s life in my tables.

We love hibachi food, this occasion we visited for our daughter birthday and most of our family came, they were able to fit all around the same table and enjoy their master chef show preparing all our food. The ambience was great and the food delicious. We always comeback and highly recommend this place.

This is a chain. We didn’t care for much of the food. The service was very good. It’s a noisy place. We were going to go to the hibachi area. But there’s so many loud kids there we opted to move to a different area. It’s a noisy restaurant. Difficult to hear conversations. The staff was very good.

Wow.
I have been a loyal customer of Ohjah for years—primarily the Flamingo & Hualapai location, and occasionally Henderson. I have spoken highly of it often, enough to choose it for my grandfather’s birthday and to bring him to the Sahara location for convenience.
Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing.
Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, service was inexplicably slow. After our food was delivered, there was no follow-up at the table. More jarring was the atmosphere: music so loud that conversation was difficult, if not impossible. What was once a calm, polished Japanese dining experience has been replaced with an environment closer to a loud American bar—minus the cigarettes, but also minus the restraint.
The food itself was acceptable, but dining is more than food. Ambiance matters. On a Sunday afternoon—especially for a family celebration—the blaring techno/trance music felt entirely out of place. When I politely asked for the volume to be lowered, the request was briefly honored, then reversed. The disconnect was striking.
This visit was meant to celebrate my grandfather. Instead, it undercut the occasion.
We still tipped generously, as the server was not the issue; this review is not about her. It is about management decisions that have eroded what once made this restaurant special.
Experiences like this explain why more people are choosing to cook at home: to avoid disappointment, avoid noise masquerading as “energy,” and avoid paying for service that never arrives.
This review applies specifically to the Sahara location. I will not be returning.

This place is freaking amazing! My wife and I went in for Hibachi and left full and happy. We have been to almost everyone of these in the valley trying to see who has the best flavors or who can give you a flavor bomb in your mouth. We finally found the one, we drove from North Las Vegas to try this one out and they didn’t disappoint. Same bombs we’re amazing, shrimp tempura was amazing and food from Chef Fon was next level he really packed in the flavors for each course Fried rice and noodles amazing flavor, shrimp and ribeye next level we can’t wait to come back again! Thank you for a great evening Chef Fon and serving staff we will be back.

We chose this restaurant for our date night and it did not disappoint! Our server was super sweet and checked on us frequently while giving us time to enjoy our conversation. We ordered a mix of appetizers, sushi and fried rice – all delicious and reasonably priced for Vegas! Our table was super quiet and cozy as well.
We felt very welcome here!
Highly recommend for date nights for Vegas locals!

Food from hibachi was okay but my stomach hurt after. I wasn’t the biggest fan of our cook. At first he seemed funny, then his jokes just seemed rude and on purpose after. He kept trying to flirt with my mom and was calling my stepdad “Uncle Bob”. He also thought it was funny to call me a husband to my wife I guess because I’m a gay woman? Not very funny. Then when he was done, I see him talking to a server in the back corner watching other tables giggling with her. I won’t be returning to this Ohjah ever again or hibachi for that matter. I would have gave an even lower star rating for the service, but the waitress was nice at least. I’d post a picture of the cook, but I guess I won’t be that mean.

Brought my lady here for her birthday, and it was our first time here and it was great! Prompt service, no waiting to get seated. Food was prepared perfectly and the cook was entertaining and friendly. Highly recommend this place. Best hibachi restaurant I’ve been to in Vegas! Thank you for a great experience. We’ll be back for sure!
