First visit, very impressed.
I had the Goomba sandwich, it’s a very tasty large sandwich, with generous fillings.
They even gave me a free cookie in my takeaway bag (nice touch!).
Friendly staff and quick service.

I’ve been here twice. It’s a bit expensive for what you get, but my main problem is the lettuce; it tastes weird, like it’s from a bag or old.
The second time, I got delivery (no lettuce this time).
One of my four sandwiches came with the wrong meat and cheese, and get this, the meat was at the bottom of the bag, not even in the sandwich! I wish I was kidding, but I’m not. I ordered plain turkey (just turkey and bread) and instead got cheddar cheese between the bread and a pile of salami just thrown into the bag. I still have no idea how this happened or who messed up. DoorDash said I got my food and wouldn’t give me a refund. I called the store, and they said they had no clue and didn’t offer any solutions. I probably won’t be back. Hopefully, they can figure out their food packaging.

My son and I stopped here for lunch. The sandwiches are soooo good. We’ll be back in Mission Viejo next month and this Mr. Pickles is on our list to visit again. For a sandwich, it seems a little on the expensive side, but you can tell they use high quality ingredients and a cookie is included. This place beats Jimmy John’s and Subway for sure.

I was told that the food would come with pickles so I didnt buy any but, we did not get any pickles. I had to pay 5 bucks for 3… quite the pickle. I was excited to come here because I have frequented the one in lake forest but I dont know. I was feeling the same vibe. I’ll try again though. The potato salad was pretty good. Maybe I will like the sandwiches better next time.

So happy to have a great sandwich deli nearby. I’ve dined in and ordered out. Very kind and helpful staff. Sandwiches and salads have fresh ingredients. Veggies are consistently fresh and crisp! I highly recommend.

Literally the best sandwich shop I have ever been to. The quality of the ingredients are superb! Way better than any other chain sandwich shop. They have great macaroni and potato salad too! I come here regularly to get lunch on my way to work and it is so satisfying!

The food was hit or miss. The French dip comes with a sauce on it (they call it garlic sauce) that tasted like pesto that ruins the whole sandwich! The Big Jake is really good! The worst part about this place was the service. I ordered a Turkey and Provolone toasted for my autistic son. Just pain, nothing else on it. Meat, cheese, bread. Easy! Luckily we were watching the sandwiches being made. First one, they put mayo. The girl taking orders tells the guy making sandwiches (after we told her again) no mayo, just plain! We are watching again, this time, he pulls the bread out of the toaster, mayo and mustard!! It took 3 wasted sandwiches for them to get no mayo and then it wasn’t toasted, but by then I was over it and just brought it home and toasted it myself. If you go to Mr Pickles, maybe go to a different location and don’t get the French dip!

How much atmosphere can a sandwich store have, one star . Employees need better training in customer service and the process, very slow and confused at what their doing, sorry but I’ve owned a business, now retired but know after many years what’s expected to earn customer loyalty.
