Visiting Northwest Arkansas is such a treat because unlike Northeast Arkansas, NWA Asian Restaurants are more likely to have authentic Asian dishes, and Wasabi is the place you want to go for it. We really enjoyed their Dol Sot Bop and their bulgogi, especially when they delivered it with lettuce to wrap it in. It makes the meat taste so much fresher. I hope to come back!

We had a wonderful lunch at Wasabi. My daughter and I both got sushi and shared egg rolls and edamame. We were very pleased with the food, the service, and the price!

First time here and I’m so pleasantly impressed. The dining experience is sensory friendly and calm, from the lovely dim lighting and preference for natural light to the quiet, unobtrusive music, the hostess and server were friendly and pleasant, and very attentive. They really contributed to this comfortable experience.

The food is fantastic, there’s care in every part of it. The appetizers are beyond fantastic and their presentation is gorgeous. I got the Unagi bowl and every part of the bowl was beautiful, delicious and considered. Even the rice was seaweed seasoned. The avocado was assembled into an adorable flower shape and was green and fresh, and the eel was soft and flavorful.

Just a really lovely experience all around, thank you.

The food is DEVINE! The food is made is small batches. This is NOT a reheat and service place. The food is cook fresh to order. The portion sizes are big. The service is excellent. These guys work like a well oiled machine. We were pleasantly surprised! This is a must try!

Drinks were great, atmosphere was great, service was great! Godzilla roll was amazing, it was a lot of sushi and I couldn’t eat it all. The Firecracker roll was deep fried and delicious.

My baby girl wanted sushi and suggested this place. It is kind of a college kid sushi restaurant/sports bar/could be up scale place but it really is caught in the middle. Baby girl had the Sam’s roll which comes out on fire which is kinda cool but kind of gimmicky – the fire is not finishing the cooking process or anything like that. The Sam’s roll was good but not great. I had the habatchi steak which was really good the veggies were cooked just right. The fried rice was good. the salad was ok. The main part if the restaurant is really nice. The bathrooms are super sketchy. Wait staff was ok not upscale service. The cleaning around the restaurant was not good ( the sides of our table were super sticky) so this is where my mixed feelings come from… The upkeep is like a college bar (just gross) but the place looks nice, lots of tvs like a sports bar but the food is good. It is worth a try just have the proper expectations…

On the top of all the rolls and noodle dishes this place has a wide variety of other things. We got unagi bowl and tofu dol-sot-bop. We also got shrimp shumai and sake. All was delicious, except for the cold unagi bowl. The dish was delicious, but we have never seen it served cold before. We enjoyed our friendly waiter and nice atmosphere while sitting outside. It’s a great place to chill, enjoy food, and watch other people do the same.

We were in the mood for Hibachi and had already tried Shogun so figured we would try some place new. The first disappointment was to find that they don’t have the normal hibachi grills right there at the table. Seeing the chef cook your food always adds to the entertainment value, so that was a bit of a let down.

We started by ordering drinks. My wife ordered some fruity drink (can’t remember what it was called) but said it wasn’t great. I got a beer and the house saki. The house saki was incredibly cheap for only $4, but after tasting I see why. Probably my least favorite saki I’ve ever had…and I’ve drank a lot of saki in my day.

After looking at the menu we realized this place is more geared towards sushi. We’re from Ohio where there are many hibachi places called “Wasabi” and they are all your traditional hibachi focused restaurants so just figured it would be similar. The hibachi menu was super limited. Only having 4 dishes to pick from. No filet or lobster options. Didn’t even have any combo dishes (ex steak and shrimp). In addition, they have noodle dishes but not for the hibachi dinners. Steamed rice was the only option.

I ordered the shrimp hibachi and my wife got chicken. My shrimp was ok. It had ok flavor, it just didn’t feel like it was cooked on a hibachi grill. Same with my wife’s chicken. To me it looked like the chicken was sliced up raw, marinated and cooked in a pan. She said it was meh. None of the meat had any type of sear on it. So between that and not having the cook there at the table it just didn’t feel like we were having hibachi.

I will say, the waitress was super friendly and did a good job at making sure we were taken care of. And to give props we’re they’re due, the presentation was very nice. Just underwhelming from a taste/texture standpoint.

Seeing as I don’t eat sushi I don’t really ever see myself coming here again. It’s a bummer because they have a great location right there on Dickson St.

2025- This review is 5 years after my original review and the food keeps getting better!

Sosa, the chef, provided us with a delectable meal. Brandon’s food was beautifully plated, deliciously seasoned, and the steak was juicy and tender. My Bolgogi was mouthwatering. The first bite made my taste buds sing with joy. I must admit, I couldn’t wait to get home after the show we watched so I could eat my leftovers!
Zoey, our waitress, even went out of her way to put baseball on the t.v. for us to watch. It might not seem like much, but we deeply appreciated it!

2020- One of favorite sushi restaurants! Lunch is more affordable with the benti box options but dinner is easily split between 2 people. You really should try the sake hot!! Way better like that!
