Good place, good food, great service. Had the chicken fried chicken sandwich w/ onion rings. Was way more than I could ask for.
Nice job folks.

Wife and I stopped in for some lunch because we did not want any fast food.
Our sweet Daughter-in-law suggested that we really needed to go here so we did.
Wife had the grilled chicken and I had the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich with their home made onion rings and O’Boy what a treat. Steak so large hanging out side the bun almost all the way around and so very, very tender. Was too large to finish it all so I’ll get to enjoy it for lunch tomorrow as well.
Wait staff completely on top of their game even in the middle of the lunch hour.
We will definitely be back when we are around Dayton for lunch or breakfast, Thanks for the Excellent meal, Cheerful and delightful wait staff with a big Kudos to the Chef.

Food was excellent the only reason they’re getting four stars because it was a little wait time. An older couple came in didn’t have a table so I asked them to sit with me. We had a pleasant conversation. The food was excellent and recommended to whoever asks.

I had very high hopes for Texas Kountry Kitchen, but I was disappointed. The place is well worn but very clean from the dining room to the restroom. There is no sign when you enter tell you to seat yourself or you will be seated, but there are several signs saying the wait for your food could be an hour when they are busy. There were plenty of servers on staff, and the service was fine but not as prompt as I would have expected for having almost 1 sever per table. My food experience started poorly at the salad bar and continued downhill. Another sign at the salad read only 1 trip any additional trips will be charged. I’m not sure why they even have a salad bar because the only lettuce was iceberg that was already turning bad. I had several pieces I had to pick out as they were wilted and wet. The toppings and dressings selection was scarce, and all of the cheapest quality available. All the dressings were in clear plastic squeeze bottles with the type of dressings handwritten on them. Several of the bottles had multiple names, and it was hard to decipher which one was correct. I feel just serving you a salad would be a better choice and more appealing than having such a poor selection at a salad bar. I sure wouldn’t pay for the salad after looking at it (mine was included with my meal). My chicken fried steak, baked potato, and garlic bread arrived promptly. I ordered my potato “all the way,” which only included butter, cheese, and sour cream (the salad bar had fake bacon bits yet none on the potato). The sour cream or the fake butter must have been bad or rancid. I tried two different bits and couldn’t stomach anymore. I moved on to the chicken fried steak (cfs). The first 2 cuts, I only got crust/breading, no meat. The breading was very thick, so much so the inner most of the breading was still doughy/uncooked. The brown gray was bland with no flavor. Once I got to the actual meat, it was fine a little tough, but at least I could tell it was fresh and homemade. The problem was that after about halfway through, there was no more meat it was all breading (see the pic). Finally, I was on to the garlic toast, and it was good accept, and I’m not sure how this happened, one of the halves was cooked perfectly while the other was burnt. Maybe they burned one piece, and instead of making a new piece, they split it on two different plates.

We walked in and just stood there. Didn’t know if we had to wait to be seated or seat ourselves. No server told us to wait or sit. So we stood . We waited 5 min and some people came in after us walked right past us and sat themselves. So we asked some customers and we had to find a spot. We got our drinks quickly. Got our food almost a hour later. The food was not worth the wait. My eggs were soggy and runny. My pancakes were flat and dense. Bacon rubbery. I got a side of hash browns and it was cold and maybe two forks full. If you want to wait an hour for less than mediocre food than come here.
