Even though the storefront is on a shady looking alley (ok, its pretty wide and not that shady), the argentine street food they have here hits the spot. The empanadas and paella rice are great and they even have alphajor! Empanadas were perfectly crisp and fillings were delicious. Fried plantains could have been cooked a bit longer. Some pieces were still uncooked in the middle. Service was quick and the decor had character.

Overall a great place for a quick snack.

Great first-time experience eating Argentinian food and order at this restaurant! I can’t comment on the full service or atmosphere of the restaurant because this was an online order. The rib was perfectly cooked, flavorful and a sizable portion. I love that I was able to buy it as a side. The empanadas were juicy inside, perfectly crusted on the outside. Not overly greasy. The paella was tasteful. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Will definitely recommend and order again! I look forward to dining in too!

Realizing my first time here, a regular sitting by the order line recommended the sampler platter. I thanked him and his wife for the recommendation and went all in. I held back tears of joy as I ate this food. True to the name, it was certainly comfort food. The fries were perfectly cooked and remained crunchy even though covered in sauce and toppings. The rib was a little on the dryer side than I’m used to but the flavor and tenderness demanded respect. The empanada was soft yet flaky and crispy, and rice paired with everything wonderfully. The staff was friendly and I could tell they enjoyed serving the food as much I eating it. Can’t wait to go back!

Let me start with some back info. I didn’t know this place existed. Found it while attending the High Spirit Fest. I also had never had Argentinian food before. I have a lot of allergies and also can’t eat very much (quantity) so I’m kinda picky with my food since a couple bites is all I can eat and like to enjoy. I never really have great expectations any longer and just hope not to feel ill and that the staff is nice enough at least.

Let me say that not only was the staff so very nice and attentive, but the food???!! oh my, I can’t even stop talking about it, it was soo good.

I had the Loaded Milanesa Grande Chicken dish which has a thin pounded chicken piece (you can chose steak instead) it’s egg washed and dipped in breadcrumbs and seasoned with salt, parsley, and garlic, fried deep golden brown, and topped with cheese. it has two over medium fried eggs on top. and you can pick a side. I got the rice and I suggest getting the rice because it’s the most mouth pleasing food I’ve had in a very long time!! It comes with two sauces a green and a red. The green is amazing. She said no big deal just a special cilantro sauce, but it’s a very big deal as it simply brings out even more flavors! You can choose mild or hot, I got mild as I can’t eat anything spicey – not even as tame as pepper. It was perfect.
I also ordered a 6pc churros with chocolate sauce and they were perfect as well. Too many times people mess these up. Either too soggy or too chewy, most don’t have enough cinnamon in the batter and sprinkled on top so there’s no taste. These were perfect. Crispy, not chewy at all and the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar.
Presentation was appetizing as well, although I forgot to take a photo of the churros until I was packing up my leftovers.

My husband enjoyed his meal but I was so wrapped up in my food I forgot to take a photo. His meal was the Full “everything” Paella which was rice cooked in the Spanish tradition. He got the Everything option, but you can also choose chicken or chorizo only. It also has veggies, fajita corn, and beans, with your choice of spicey or mild sauce.

The two meals and the 6pc churro, with tip was $52. Well worth it to me even if a little pricey.

Please, if you want something great, try this place. It’s a small place on Pearl but we didn’t have any problem getting seated even with the event going on.

Food is amazing here. I believe they must have relisted the business on Google again but the reviews were still good before. I love their paella. Never had an issue. Service is great and its a nice little hole in the wall spot downtown. Definitely reccomend. Ive been at leats 20 times. Worth every penny for the serving size and flavor. I’ll add pics once I go back again

Hidden in an alley but do not let that deter you! Their paella and empanadas are a must eat. The inside is small and simple and at lunch time, they are aware people are on a schedule and get you your food quickly.

Mostly downtown foot traffic. Very popular lunch crowd. Very small spot..easy to miss if you don’t know where to look. Just down Pearl Alley from RINGSIDE CAFE AND BAR.
Some parking meters on E Gay St. Parking at Underground Garage under Ohio State House. Other nearby surface parking lot options.
My first visit on 8/25/25 was out of curiosity..just walking around in the alley being nosy.
The Pork Ribs are meaty and good. The Paella is very good especially with their green “Yum Yum” sauce side. Prices are comparable to other downtown restaurants. Everything cooked to order and served with a smile.
I will return because it’s close to public transportation and food portions are good. I had leftovers for later!
