Great atmosphere, the service was phenomenal not once did I ever run out of drink. And that’s important to me. They also sold Mexican Coke there which goes great with any Mexican meal. I ordered the chili relleno and the taco plate was also on the menu. food was definitely good but not the greatest so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But I do recommend if you’re in Bay City to stop by and enjoy a good meal.

Food, atmosphere and service was really great! Micah was out waiter and he was very friendly and on top of his service game. Attentive and friendly! The food was DELISH along with the drinks. We ate shrimp quesidilla and the bomb burrito. (I think that was name) wrapped in bacon.

Those chips are thick and heavy. And they were our least favorite of the food we had. It’s a shame too because the salsa is so good and so was the queso.. but the chips ruined it for us. I saw a plate delivered by our waitress and said I just have that.. it was called El Capitan and it was fried catfish with a Mexican type etoufee on top. My friend got the plate that had enchiladas and a taco that replaced his guacamole. Our food was pretty good. I don’t live in that town.. but would never go back due to those chips. PLUS. They add a credit card fee to every ticket. Even if you’re paying cash.. that’s no BUENO!!

We wanted to be adventurous and so instead of going to our favorite Mexican restaurant in town, we tried Vallarta Mexican Grill. We were not disappointed. Now it will be hard to choose which place to go. My husband got the Mucho Dinner with cheese enchiladas and enjoyed it very much. I tried something new and got the El Rey plate which was an Anaheim pepper stuffed with fajita beef and rolled into a flour tortilla covered in chili sauce. It was very different and delicious.
The service was exceptional and friendly. We were not disappointed and will go back.

We ordered El Malancon, food was great , Fajita beef, Fajita chicken Ribs , the quail needed a little more cooking, good season over all The waiter Micah, was a excelent host.
Definitely will be back next time I go through Bay City.

We were looking for a place to eat a late dinner. This is a great restaurant. The service was fantastic. When they served the salsa hot and crispy tortillas chips I knew I was in for a surprise. I ordered the Mexican chicken tacos and a full order of guacamole. All the food was delicious.

Server and staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was really good and they have homemade tortillas. Great portions and great taste!
Wheelchair and walker friendly inside. However, getting into the restaurant was a little cumbersome. Handicap parking is far from the front doors.

The food here is excellent. Hot, fresh, presented well, and everything tastes homemade. Particularly enjoyed the salsa(s).
I was pleasantly surprised by the staff; always wiping down tables, sweeping, cleaning, and my waitress was incredibly polite and attentive.
The interior design can feel like a hodge podge of modern ideas and stereotypical Mexican decor, not leaning too heavily into either. So the atmosphere might give somebody vertigo, but it’s in no way a deal breaker.
Bottom line, this place is wonderful. Great food, friendly staff, clean place. I’ll definitely be returning.
