I had a great evening out with colleagues while in town for a few days. There were 6 of us in the party and everyone enjoyed their meal. A few of us started off at the bar for drinks prior to the meal. Our bar tender was great! A glass of broke (not her fault) and she was on top of getting everything cleaned up. She also kept apologizing- again it wasn’t her fault. She was great!
For appetizers, we had 2 orders of the heirloom tomatoes with burrata, olive oil, basil, and balsamic and an order of meatballs. Everything was good. The heirlooms didn’t taste home grown but I’m from the south and the heirlooms from my garden are in full swing so I can be a bit biased. I would totally order that again though.
I shared an entree with a friend- we had the fettuccini Alfredo and pollo Alla Siciliana. The white wine sauce was my favorite from the chicken dish. The Alfredo was good but nothing special.
Others had one of the daily specials of Gnocci, surf and turf, linguini. And lastly someone had the mushroom farfalle.
Everyone shared a cannoli for desert.
There wasn’t a complaint about the food.
Our server, I wish I could remember the gentleman’s name, was amazing. He took great care of us. For the owners or whoever reads this, the gentleman decided not to go to law school . He will know the reference.
Great visit over all and I look forward to coming here next time I’m in Indy.

I showed up with my elderly mother-in-law. We did not have a reservation, and told the hostess that we would wait at the bar for my Wife who we expected in about an hour. I said, that when my wife showed up, we would want a table for dinner. About 45 minutes later the manager came up and told me that he would have a table ready for when my wife showed up. Shortly thereafter, my wife showed up and we were escorted to a table. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The staff was paying attention, something you don’t see nowadays. I was very impressed that they were listening to me and working us in to a table when It became available. The food was delicious. The waiter was amazing. I can’t give this restaurant enough praise. An obviously well run restaurant. (Very rare nowadays). Great job!

Wow, double wow, excellent food. I know my Italian, this is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. If you follow me, you know how many restaurant reviews I do, and I loved the salad and the veal with angel hair pasta, best butter sauce and capers ever! I will give this recommendation to my family when they visit Indy. Get the bread, so warm and addictive!

I would give more than 5 stars! The servers we had were Sandra and Josie and both were excellent. Attentive without obtrusive. We ordered the mussels, and toasted raviolis for appetizers. Josie also brought prosciutto wrapped shrimp to try. We thought all were excellent! We shared a house salad and it was great too. For our main course (we also shared) we ordered the veal piccata. It was some of the best I’ve eaten! The sides of the green beans and mashed potatoes were perfect! Sandra also sent us home with a “to die for” cannoli. I could not even express how much we enjoyed our meal there. The chef did an outstanding job!!!

What a beautiful experience. The moment you walk in the door, your cares seem to melt away. The ambience is set with low lighting and flickering candlelight. The space isn’t large but small and intimate. The smiles on the faces of each employee seem to hint that they know what you’re feeling. Although, the entrees are good, my favorite was the torta di caprino and the gamberi alla grigula. This should be at the top of your list of you want to be wined, dined and satisfied.

My wife loves Italian food so we’ve tried most of the different Italian places in town. Mama Corolla’s is my wife’s favorite & is the standard that we use to measure all others. Sangiovese is the first place that she’s put anywhere close to on Mama Corolla’s level.. & to be honest, I think they may have even surpassed them.. when I ask her now where she wants to go, whether it’s for a romantic date night, or just to get a carryout to take home.. Sangiovese has become her go to..

The food was delicious; the salad was lovely, great contrast between the blue cheese and the rest of the greens. The main dish was slow cooked veal shank with risotto. It was big portion and hearty for sure but it felt homemade. Would go again for more dishes

We had chosen to eat here for dinner this evening at approx. 5:30pm after work (business attire). Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a reservation, we did not. There were maybe 15 people in the entire restaurant, including the bar. The hostess let us know that we could sit at the bar for no wait or wait over 2 hours for a table, while an elderly employee stood over her. After letting them know we’re all over 21, we headed to the bar area. There were 3 of us so we opted for the end of the bar so we could face each other for the meal. Once sat, the elderly male employee, approached us from behind and let us know that we needed to move closer to the other person at the bar, as to not leave any seats between parties. I have never encountered such a demand at any restaurant, especially with a bar area. It felt very unwelcoming. We left at that time and went elsewhere. He told us to have a nice night as we left, and that was probably the nicest interaction we had here. Please be advised that if you do not have a reservation, do not bother coming here. If they don’t want walk ins, I’d suggest they put a sign on the door.

Our group tried several dishes and they were all fantastic. We had the best waitress and she was training and still super attentive to us. She was funny and engaging and that always makes the experience so much better. Definitely recommend!
