Walked in with wife and our service dog, was greeted by bowling attendant very nice. However was then approached by bar tender and asked if we had our service dog papers. Which is not legal in NYS. We informed her we had them at home and then proceeded to tell us we could not have the service dog in the building. So we kindly left. Solid way to loose business.
So to reply back to you. I just would like to update this review. So as attached in this review you can see a screenshot stating that it is NOT legal to ask for service dog papers so thank you for admitting to what your business did wrong in the first place. At no point in my review did I say we were asked to leave. I did in fact state we do have service dog papers but they were at home. And after words politely said don’t worry we will leave. After that was said. You did in fact say you could not allow the service dog inside with out papers. And then in which we did walk out. Not storm out. What you said and did is not legal. Point blank.

If you have not checked out the local bowling alley in a while, like my family.. I would more than recommend stopping in and checking the place out! Under new ownership and you can tell, we had birthday celebration plans go a bit awry and ended up at the new improved Hanover pub & Alleys where we bowled a great game while listening to good tunes and then were treated to an absolutely delicious Pizza and some wonderful mixed drinks. We will be back for the next open bowling, and to give that cool new dart board a shot!!

Great owner. We’re lucky to have it. Extremely difficult bowling shot tho, old wood lanes very dry conditions. Bowling well here will make you better anywhere else you go. Difficult house to score well on for me. Owners an awesome guy tho. Don is the man.

My girlfriend and I, plus our combined four wild boys, yet he was still understanding, patient, generous and kind: and I’m STILL grateful for the service he provided us with that night, several years ago..! We had a great time. Pizza was fantastic and the music was spot on. Highly recommend Hanover Lanes! It’s not just a bowling alley! It’s a great place to have a beer and watch your favorite sports teams. Give it a try!
