Honestly such a terrible experience,. I don’t know what we did to them, but it was terrible. My friends were there before as a party of three, when we walked in we sat down l didn’t get help for at least 15 minutes which honestly we didn’t even notice but then when it was time to order I asked what kind of martinis they had specifically any fruit ones. The server acted like we were insane for asking that and said it was impossible to do a real fruit martini such as a lychee martini but he could do juice in a “’martini glass” Which I’m sure it’s true, but he didn’t have to be so condescending, you could just say no. I ordered something random and then he comes back to tell me he can make me an Appletini … (I’m sure he felt bad for being rude) which he could’ve said earlier when I asked if he had sweet martinis. Then they never checked on us and at some point a server came to drop off some drinks and I was distracted with my friends, but then I see her slam a glass onto the table, Apparently, she had been asking what drink whose it was, and was asking the guys which weren’t paying attention in the girls were distracted. We enjoyed everything, but I’m not sure why the staff was so rude to us. I will say that the bartender made me a special drink. That was delicious. Also, the bathroom had the kids high chairs, which I don’t think is sanitary and considering how much they charge for everything. I think the bathroom area could’ve been nicer and cleaner. I rarely write negative reviews as I’ve worked in the restaurant business for 10+ but the attitude was unnecessary and they were just mean and pretentious. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Oh and here’s a pic of the sliders lol. We literally spent $300 which may not be a lot but damn all we wanted was food and drinks, and I was so nice.

I think was the perfect choice for us newbies. We were seeking to try many different types of whiskeys and this was the place. Sergei (hope that’s correct) was more than accommodating and explained the flights to us along with the type of whiskey. He also gave recommendations. He was very busy with other customers as we believe it was just him and chef at opening. It was quiet since we went before happy hour. The food was good! Really love the cocktails and the appetizers. I have been here a few times. Definitely recommend making a reservation if you’re coming for the 4-7 PM happy hour otherwise, if you come right at opening, it should be easy to find a seat at the bar.

I very rarely give out 5-star ratings, but I am making an exception for MacMillans. The decor, the ambience, the whiskey selections, and the food . Its not a big place, but the size is perfect for that “personal” feel.

Whiskey selection is amazing! So many kinds to choose from, as well as a very good selection of cocktails in general. The food, tho limited options, still provided a variety, and was very tasty. Service was pretty slow, and despite having 2 gentlemen coming to our table to check on us, both would forget what we asked for so we’d wait a long time to receive it. Overall though, definitely a place I’ll return multiple times to!

Let me start off with great selection of whiskies. Atmosphere was great. Be forewarned, you have a 1.5 hr table limit. Doesn’t matter if you are continuously buying drinks or food. They care more about flipping the tables. They will come around and tell you need to leave at XX time. They should tell you this when you are seated so you can plan accordingly. Couple next to us bought three rounds of drinks, an appetizer and had just ordered food when they were told a few minutes later they had to leave in 30 min. When they said we just ordered food. The response was it should be out in 10 mins and that leaves you 20 mins to eat. Food is over priced for portions served. Photos are of a $10 steak (ground meat) chilli to go. Cup is 16oz. I’ll be lucky if there’s 8oz of chill in it.

I enjoyed my experience here. My friend and I came on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to do a whiskey tasting. Our bartender Sergiy was great and walked us through the different options, sharing background and context that made the tasting easy to follow and engaging. I enjoy drinking whiskey, but I don’t know much about its history or the details behind what I’m tasting, so I really appreciated how he explained the differences. The experience felt informative without being overwhelming, and I left with a better understanding and appreciation of whiskey. I will definitely be back. The food was good as well. I had the salmon salad and it was pretty good.

Great place for weekend happy hour. It’s a small restaurant so reservations are highly recommended. They have an extensive cocktail and spirits list, and they also offer whiskey flights. The food was delicious, although I would skip the fries because they were soft to the point of being soggy. I recommend the Scotch eggs, the bruschetta, and the super tender short rib. As for the service, it was good but maybe a little too quick. We asked for apps and the entrees to come later, but we didn’t get much time to finish our apps before our main meals were out, so our table got kind of crowded. I’m guessing with such a small place they need to get their reservations in on time.

Went there for the whisky. A lot of choices for the same. Great selection of different types of liquor from all around the world. The first whisky I ordered had half a dose left and it was provided for free which was pleasant and unexpected. Ordered a second whisky as well. And a third. The second one had an interesting price. I would recommended asking for the age and the label when it’s not listed in the menu. For someone who knows their whiskey, a definite go. For someone who doesn’t, just order the flight.

Can’t put a price tag on great scotch…or can you?
When I go to a place with rare scotches, I splurge. I try the finer things…the highest end of things. THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL.
Lucas was a great host. He poured the drinks to my liking (usually in such places, they pour infront of you which he didnt. This is my only constructive criticism of him) but he offered ice/water/etc was extremely patient as I asked him all sorts of questions. He knew his whiskeys and had a story for all of them. He was also kind enough to leave the bottles unattended infront of us incase I wanted to read up.
I had 3 pours and yeah, they tasted great. I think all 3 pours were decently priced.
Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve- $32/pour. Bottle is only $200 but it was discontinued in 2009. So the premium makes sense
Glenfiddich 30 – $130/pour. Again, decently priced. Bottle is $1500
Mortlach 30 – an eye watering $500/pour. Bottle is $6000 but very limited. This was bottle 298/350.
Overall, a great place with tons of options.
