As a Korean who lived in the US almost 16yrs, one of the best experiences in the US. We came from Missouri on a Family road trip to NY, and after Niagara Falls we needed somewhere to fill us with something warm. To be honest I was a little skeptical when I found out the owner didn’t seem Korean, but I’m glad we didn’t go somewhere else. The service and food was even better than many of the Korean owned restaurants I’ve been to, the 육개장(Yookgejiang) I had was extremely filling due to its meat and vegetables. (건더기 진짜 푸짐하게 주심)(한국에서 여행오신 분들 강력 추천) Especially my youngest (11yrs) brother who is a really picky eater tried to finish his bowl (he got his own 떡만둣국(rice cake dumpling soup)) I would recommend for anyone who wants authentic food that actually tastes Korean and not the Americanized ones. (Sides were also really good)(숙주나물)

Visited for lunch and began with Dak Tuigim, only to discover that our later entrée, Kang Poong Gi, was essentially the same deep‑fried chicken in sweet‑spicy sauce, merely in a larger portion. A simple heads‑up from the server would have helped us diversify our order.

Bulgogi Dolsot disregarding the presentation was adequate at best, with very muted seasoning.

Of the complimentary banchan, crisp pickled cucumbers impressed, kimchi was average, broccoli purely functional, and surprisingly the straightforward soup was the meal’s highlight.

Wouldn’t recommend as your Korean go-to spot.

Lol dont even bother coming here if you are trying to get your korean craving fixed. This is an imitation korean restaurant run by Chinese people. Service is abysmal. The restaurant had 3 other tables and there were 3 servers on the floor and it took them exactly 14minutes to bring my family the menu. Buffalo only has a couple of korean restaurants available when you look them up on Google so this was one of those choices for us. When they served us water, water tasted like something out of sewer and requested that we get another but still tasted mildly so. Now onto the food menu, all the typical korean menu that you would see in actual korean restaurants are listed on the menu however meat combo we ordered had 4 different kinds of various meat. Chicken was tasteless and dry and Bulgogi was overly sweet as if someone accidentally dumped loads of domino sugar by the bucketful and spicy pork had some off putting flavor with a bit of spiciness to it. And small serving of galbi was not galbi at all but different cut of beef they threw on a bone of galbi to make it look like it was part of the rib. At this point we were just laughing it off until we tasted the tofu stew which was absolutely atrocious and should not even have attempted to make one if they didnt know how to do the recipe. Servers took forever to bring banchan , napkins ,etc. So we just gave up even making comments about the food and just wanted to get the heck out of there. Place is so dingy and ceiling is made of those asbestos tiles. The owner was surly and disgruntled looking when greeting customers. We dont know what the deal was but this continued with other patrons walking in while we were dining there. They look like they can skate by being only one of two or three korean restaurants in the entire buffalo area. There is no authenticity, weird flavors of korean imitation. I wouldnt even recommend that they hire a proper cook as we will never ever visit this place again. We are korean nationals and we can tell you this is not a korean restaurant. Skip this place!!

It was great. We had the combo Korean BBQ and the foods were excellent. It was perfect size for two people. I really recommend the Korean BBQ. The meats had really good flavor, we really liked the spicy marinated one. It came with rice and side dishes. We definitely would come back when we visit New York next time!

We’ve been here twice and really enjoyed our food both times. My favorite thing so far is the tteokbokki. Service is polite and speed has been reasonable for the number of tables there each time. As onion haters, we really appreciate that they don’t overload everything with onions. A lot of Asian restaurants in this area tend to put like 3 entire onions in every single dish and we were psyched to not have that issue at Woo Chon.

The kids and I decided on Korean food for dinner. To make sure we had a table that has grills, we made a reservation to secure a spot; this is due to only having 4 tables to bbq on. The rest are just dine in tables. The food was amazing. We ordered bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi. When you get your main dish, you get side dishes as well. The dishes are all marinated in their own way to enhance the flavor of the side dish. Some of the side dishes are rice, cucumbers, bean sprouts, fish cakes, bean paste, garlic, and kimchi. The whole event took about an hour from placing order to paying for our check at the end. We will be back in the near future. Also, I can’t forget the staff, they were all extremely friendly and always saw a smile on their face.

The food here was amazing my family loves it. The soup was delicious and my fav part. Service was quick and the staff were understanding of exactly what my family and I wanted. I especially enjoyed the tonkatsu with its sweet sauce. Definitely coming back here on my days off from college life!

Came here for lunch and ordered the spicy pork bulgogi. Prices were great because you get a lot of food and you get to try a bit of everything. Food was good but it wasn’t delicious. One of the reviews I read before coming into the restaurant mentioned tue restaurant is really outdated and it’s true. Our server was nice and friendly. I’ll have to come back to try the full Korean bbq experience.

We ordered shrimp for the appetizer but they weren’t my favorite. The batter had a very thick and chewy consistency.

I highly recommend this place. I go here every year for my birthday and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing and there’s even a coat rack at the entrance. The staff are kind and professional. There are bathrooms but I’ve never used them so I cant speak on their cleanliness. I would
recommend calling beforehand to set up a reservation just to be safe since it gets busy during dinner.
