Delicious, fast, and the server and staff are kind and have a nice vibe.

I ordered a burrito – chile de relleno. First time trying it and it was delicious!

Also, their red and green sauce seemed homemade and were so good. The green sauce has a great medium spice, while the red sauce was quite mild but has a yummy chipotle (I think – I’m no pepper expert) flavor.

They also handed me this prayer as I left (ordered for pick-up). I was a bit confused, and am an agnostic Buddhist myself, but I thought it was a warm touch.

We were really hoping to love this place and to have another solid option for Mexican food in the valley, but unfortunately our experience fell short. The staff was kind, but it felt like our requests weren’t fully heard.

My husband ordered a shredded beef burrito and specifically asked for no onions or cilantro because they make him sick. The burrito came with both, so he sent it back. They brought out a new one, but even that still had onions mixed in. He tried to pick them out but eventually had to stop eating it. The green sauce on top also didn’t have much flavor.

I ordered a chimichanga. The shredded beef itself had good flavor, but the red tomato sauce on top tasted more like plain canned tomatoes without seasoning. The rice and beans were okay but lacked flavor as well.

The highlights were the churros—and the chips and salsa.

It’s possible other items on the menu are better, but based on what we tried, we just didn’t love our meals.

Hands down, some of the best Authentic Mexican Food I’ve had in the area! The freshness of the ingredients and the unique flavors in the all meat tacos and shrimp tacos were unforgettable. The meat in the tacos were seasoned very well and the shrimp tacos were probably the best I’ve had in years!!! Highly recommended for food enthusiasts! We look forward to coming back again and exploring more of the menu.

Delicious and fresh! Waitstaff was extremely attentive and very sweet. We were able to be seated immediately- unlike down the street at Graze- waited 1.5 hours only to have two groups of same size as ours be seated shortly after they arrived even after being told several times we were next- Our kids loved their meals (flautas and quesadillas) and my husband and I did as well (tacos (beef and chicken) and chicken flautas). Chips and salsa were also very fresh and the perfect amount of spice- they even serve the refried beans with the chips and salsa. We loved that this was also a Christian establishment with scriptures as decorations and they gave us the card pictured as we were leaving. Highly recommend!

A surprise find. We were passing through and needed food. It’s an unassuming interior and exterior but the food is absolutely delicious. Very lovingly prepared homemade style Mexican food. At or table we had mole chicken, quesabirilla, and carnitas. All delicious.

I’ve been twice and the second time was multiple times better than the first.
1. Staff was and continues to be super friendly. This time around, the wait staff was more knowledgeable.
2. The portion to price ratio was a lot better and they take cards and cash now.
3. The food itself is good for what it is, being in the valley and all. Most valley white folk (especially SVR people) probably will think El Rodeo is the best.

All in all, it’ll work in a pinch. ‍♂️

My husband and I ate here today for the first time. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered the cheese dip, it was cold and we’re guessing out of a can. The chips definitely weren’t homemade and not the best. I had the tacos which were good but on the verge of over cooked. My husband order flautas. They were the worst we’ve ever had. Hardly any meat and way over cooked. They over to bring another plate but we didn’t have time. Our waitress sweetly apologized and removed it from our bill. We personally won’t eat there again.

The food was excellent, the service could be improved, the cost was on the high side. It took a little while for seating, but 10-15 minutes wasn’t all that bad for 7:30 pm dinner. Was treated like a stranger, which was sad, it was our first time there and engagement wasn’t as it probably should have been. Might be because they are new. We’ll try again sometime and see if there are any changes.
