Visiting area and asked locals for recommendation for a breakfast spot and everyone said Rick’s. So off we went. Reminded me of that local hole in the wall that people talk about. Food was good but didn’t blow us away. My omelette was very good, wife had a hash dish that she was a bit disappointed with. Service was great as waitress earned her as people kept coming in, always a good sign for the business. Price was moderate and portions were big. I can see why this is a local favorite. Wife had to buy their homemade raspberry jam / jelly as she loved it. Worth a visit.

We ate breakfast here this morning & it was GREAT! Can’t think of anything they could’ve done better! We travel all over the states & Canada & this is the BEST breakfast we’ve had! We are from the south & don’toften find breakfast tators that are JUST RIGHT!!! Our waitress was friendly & attentive. The atmosphere was laid back & cozy! Wish they were open for supper

Stopped by for some breakfast. Place was mostly full of locals and some not so local. This place is not fancy, but it was clean and neat. Our waitress Amy was on the ball with our Coffee and food orders. We ordered the Fraser Valley Breakfast which consisted of 2 Eggs, Potato’s choice of Meat and Toast. We both opted for Ham as the meat. Our food came out quick for as busy as they were. Our Eggs were done just like we ordered them, perfect. The Potato’s and Ham were both good. The food and Coffee were hot, and all was good. I guess the locals know where to go for a reasonable priced food that’s plentiful and good. They do have a couple tables outside in the front to eat at if you don’t want to be inside. There is also a counter to sit at. Seemed like the waitress their knew everybody’s name and treated us like one of the locals also. Amy checked on us a bunch of times to make sure we were well taking care of. They even had old school trivia questions on paper at the tables to keep you amused. The Salt and Pepper shakers were in the shape of a Semi Truck. I just loved this place and their food. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars.

Delicious!!! Clean, fresh, original recipes. We had 3 different Benedict’s – original, blackened salmon steak, and lobster. All were fantastic! Iced coffee was great too.

The place I usually visit for breakfast was closed – so I took a chance to have my meal here. What a nice surprise! Waitress was super friendly and I was seated right away. Another waitress came over to talk to me for a few minutes. I chose the eggs benedict with a side of avocado and bacon (you always need bacon!) Order came out quickly, nice and hot. I only ate one of the eggs (too full) and the waitress told me that they serve a 1/2 order (for future reference.) The coffee was a bit too strong for me, so only had a sip or two. Very nice place. Will go again.

I’ve been wanting to go for a long time and finally had the chance to stop in today!! What an amazing breakfast!!!! My friend got the handyman with pancakes and I got the homemade corned beef hash. It was so delicious!!!! I’d definitely be going back for some lunch!!!! I can only imagine how the lunch will taste!

Cute place. Great food. I had the stuffed French Toast with blueberries and my cousin had the blueberry pancakes. Mine was delicious – she said she wished the pancakes had a few more blueberries and was a bit envious of mine.

Our server seemed lethargic – we didn’t see much of her. We asked her to give us separate checks, and she just divided the total in two (which means one of us paid more than ordered, one less). The staff doesn’t seem to back each other up, which would be helpful in a busy place like this. I’d have loved a coffee refill but couldn’t even get anyone with a coffee pot to look me in the eye.

Still, everyone can have an off day, so I would try again.

I just ate the best tasting, most filling, reasonably priced, generously portioned breakfast of my life. Hyperbole? No way. We haven’t been in the York area since summer 2023 (last year we were in MDI), and couldn’t wait to get back to Rick’s for a hearty breakfast. There’s just nothing like a truly tasty vacation breakfast to power you through a day of beaching and walking and boating. I had The Cruiser, the most awesome omelette ever, and my husband had French toast, potatoes, and sausage patties. Everything was delicious & so filling. Cooked to perfection, even! And we love the coffee at Rick’s. It’s actually the only coffee I’ve had that is so smooth, I don’t get the usual stomach burn I do with literally every coffee I’ve drunk. I could drink their coffee every day. Oh, also: my husband ordered breakfast at 8:15am on a busy Tuesday morning and was on the road with the goods by 8:30am. To whoever made breakfast & coffee around 8-9am on 9/2/2025…we love you.

Rick’s came highly recommended by our beach neighbor, so of course we had to stop in. Well, my husband did and brought breakfast home (I’m not eating in restaurants currently). I had The Cruiser, which is an omelette filled with bacon, caramelized onion, spinach, and goat cheese served with potatoes and toast. It was divine!! And my husband thoroughly enjoyed The Cape Neddick. Even our coffees were delicious. And my husband enjoyed the local vibe. So it looks like Rick’s is our new breakfast (and coffee) spot. I can’t wait to try the lunches!

* Also, the prices are great. Our breakfasts were between $10-$11, and the servings, again, are very generous.

I have no notes. We came on a Wednesday morning and got right in. The server came over and was so happy and friendly, huge smile. It really set the tone for the meal. I ordered a “Cape Neddick” which was 2 eggs, I chose sausage, potatoes, and pancakes (I chose blueberry). Everything was absolutely delicious- the pancakes were probably some of the best I’ve had. Top it off with a delicious actual iced coffee, not just a hot coffee with ice in it, and all for $35.

I can’t wait to go back.

We looked this place up on Google maps and read the reviews. We were not disappointed! This place is bright, cheerful and full of plants by the natural light coming thru the front windows. It is a spacious spot, but I can see it filling up quickly on the weekends. We were greated by one of the girls working there and brought to our seat. Food came quickly and hot! My husband got the Handyman and I’m surprised he ate the whole thing. It was a ton of food. I got the biscuits and gravy. What I liked about this was you could get a full order (2 biscuits) or a half (1 biscuit) so good! If you are in the area definitely give this place a try!
