I stumbled upon this place while stranded in the rain on a motorcycle trip. I’m so glad I found it! The food is fantastic and the folks running the place were as friendly as can be. I had take out but there are plenty of places to sit as well. Don’t let the unassuming exterior deter you, make sure you go in and eat here! My tacos al pastor came with three different kinds of taco sauce, all of which were incredible. Highly recommended!

Sometimes the best food is in the smallest spaces. Looking for a meal while in Harrisburg that was off the beaten path, we decided to try Taco King. It took me back to a vague memory from 3 decades ago about a similar place I found on a back street in Del Rio, Texas, a couple miles from Mexico. I don’t remember the name of the restaurant, or the name of the street, but I bet I could go back to it! One of the best places in town for tacos! Just like love can thrive in tiny homes, sometimes the best food is in tiny businesses!

online pricing is confusing. 4 tacos came out to $19 even though the menu shows 3 for $12 and 5 for $17. Ended up paying more for fewer tacos which is ridiculous. The steak taco wasn’t even worth it, did not have much flavor.

The location is no frills. To spite it’s humble exterior and basic interior, the food is good. The cost is about the same as elsewhere.
3 tacos are included in an order. There is no mix and match, you get one type of meat on all three. Only cilantro and onion are added to a taco with lime on the side.
I ordered the chorizo tacos “platter” . Spicy, flavorful and delicious. The beans and rice are good and the rice was fresh.
The cilantro tasted fresh.
My friend ordered the chicken adobo. I enjoyed the chicken taco also. Flavorful, moist and tasty.
Do not ignore this place when you’re looking for tacos over lunch. Stop in and eat in as there is seating available.

If we are anywhere in Pennsylvania, we will go out of our way now to get tacos at Taco King! On the outside it looks like a very humble taco shop and the interior decoration is simple, but it contrasts the complexity of flavors in their tacos. Their lengua (beef tongue) tacos were the most tender that we have ever had and you owe it to yourself to try it out.

Yesterday we decided to go get some tacos. We looked on Yelp in saw that Taco King had a whole bunch of good ratings. My buddy, my wife and I decided to go there for dinner. The tacos were great, the beef tongue tacos was amazing. My wife got the enchilada shrimp cocktail and she really enjoyed them. I enjoyed my platter too but at the end I realize that they messed up on my order. I ordered a Carne Asada platter with two additional taco but only got two three Taco platter so essentially I paid for two more tacos that I never received and I didn’t notice until after the fact.

Driving from Texas to make a delivery nearby and decided to try some tacos, extremely delicious tacos. I tried out the deal of 5 tacos just unstoppable while eating . It is very delicious, and tacos are very loaded. Good job, Taco King .
