This place is clearly a local dining destination that enjoys serving its patrons. They have a cheesecake offering that numbers north of 100+ varieties. The coconut chocolate version tastes like an Almond Joy! I heartily recommend the Reuben sandwich with the Mustang (kick off horseradish) Cole slaw. The hostess of this establishment is quite a personality and service, which is prompt and efficient, comes with a side dish of attitude. A neat local dining option that is memorable.

We went to Bruce’s for the first time Feb 13th 2026 and absolutely loved the food and people there. Barbara who is Bruce’s wife was so sweet and informative ❤️ The food was delicious and you have to try their Cheesecake!

Stopped here on our ride from NC to FL, and service was very quick which helped us out. Very homey atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff. Seems like they specialize in cheesecake but our food had everyone very impressed and saying their order was the best 🙂 they have vegetarian/ vegan options. A must-try!

As I review, We begin to redefine what use to be your run of the milll reviewer.(local guide) It used to be more about old folks just chewing the fat or when someone is pissed about service or the lack of. Now with opinions coming from all who can church up a old knee slapper telling us DQ is ok for receptions. Well my knee slappers joined me at Bruce’s. We all made it a point to order completely different dishes really helping me spread the tasting and sampling. Every time I tasted something I said that’s the best thing I ever tasted until I tasted something else .The service was right on time but not smothering and the atmosphere was qui quainte yet conversational.

Met my cousin for lunch. I drove 50 minutes from one way, and she drove 40 minutes from the other. The employees were super friendly and we were well taken care of. The atmosphere was homey and comfortable. But the food….the food was amazing. The owners are really good people and even have a table reserved for the homeless. They are know for their homemade cheesecake, and were sold out except for pumpkin. I thoroughly enjoyed my piece. I will definitely be back.

If I could give this 10 stars I would! We happened upon this place due to the reviews and so glad we did! Bruce and his wife both waited on our table and were so friendly and genuine. Cheesecake is included in your meal with tons of different flavors. He has 38 flavors of hummus. The pimento cheese is to die for! Tuesdays are potato specials. They are only open M-F for lunch! Definitely try this gem!

We visited Bruce’s today for the first time and can’t wait to return! From the fun decor to homey/casual feel to the warm smiles and fantastic service, it’s a wonderful place to grab a bite and stay a while.
Bruce spoke to every customer at least once while I was there, making sure everyone was fed, happy and taken care of! I had the Grilled Cheesesteak Wrap (at his suggestion) with a side of pasta salad, my fiancé had the taco salad, and they wouldn’t let us out the door without reminding us to choose from their dessert menu! Portions were generous and the food was so very yummy.
Friendliest service and some of the best food (for a reasonable price) I’ve had in a long time.
We will go out of our way to visit here in the future- it’s Diners-Drive ins-and Dives quality!

Long overdue for a review…but a Boursin club on sourdough with pasta salad and a cookie for $10 with today’s prices is almost unheard of. A FULL sandwich and large portion of pasta salad, not the “half sandwich” a lot of places advertise. If I didn’t work over the mountain I’d be here for lunch at least 3x a week.

The Greek chicken salad was fresh and tasty. All entrees comes with a dessert. They only had one cheesecake option due to the cream cheese shortage but they had tons of cake flavors. I wasn’t sure what to get, so the owner (?) recommended the Cinnamon Oatmeal Cake. She definitely did not steer me wrong. It was fabulous indeed.
