Reviews
* LA Galbi 5/5 – Good tasting, plenty of meat. Came with rice.
* Octopus Fried Rice 5/5 – Great combination of flavors. I love the crispy rice bits at the bottom. There was a good amount of octopus pieces.
* Soy Bean Cold Noodles 4/5 – This was my first time having this, and it was pretty good. The noodles were chewy and smooth. The broth was creamy, milky, and nutty from the soy milk. The coolness was nice for a hot day.
Each dish was on point, and the vibe at Tang 190 is super chill but elevated. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re in the area! ☺️
We drove a long way to visit. I totally agree that the appetizers are the best out of all the Korean restaurants I have been in life so far. They ordered the beef soup and I tried the ginseng chicken.
The beef soup I thought it was pretty decent, but my boyfriend’s family said the meat portion was way less than what it was years ago. Which the portion wasn’t very satisfying for them.
As for my ginseng chicken, I couldn’t taste any ginseng at all from the soup, nor did I see any ginseng in the soup. It was more like a Korean clean chicken broth soup rather than ginseng chicken soup. I have had better in Vancouver, B.C..
Appetizers were a 5 star, ginseng soup was a near 2 to 3 star for me. Beef soup as a first timer, it’s a 4 to 5.
Me and my friends ordered quite a feast with makgeolli: Bossam (Pork & Kimchi Wrap Platter), Rice Cake & Dumplings Soup, Gamjatang, Spicy Chilled Noodle, and Seafood Green Onion Pancake. Everything tasted good, but I especially loved the bossam and spicy chilled noodles!!!
The place is super clean and perfect for casual Korean food with a group.
No wait-time as we came right as they opened but their menu is small, prices are on the higher side, and service is not friendly – our waitress kept rushing us and seemed upset when we requested more banchan (small side dishes included with your main meals). Food was good but nothing incredible. My tendon soup was very, very bland.
Felt overrated and guess what, they charge you extra $$$ if you choose to pay by credit card. Something I didn’t notice until after I paid
Food what top notch and the ambient it was perfect.
Definitely it a place that you must visit more than one time for the menu they have.
