Crown Alley is one of the coolest hidden spots in Lake Mary. It is inside the Grafton Street Pub, you enter through a telephone booth in the back. It’s a real rotary phone, and the trick is to dial the Lake Mary zip code before lifting the receiver. When you do, the hidden door clicks open.
Inside, it’s cozy and atmospheric, with low lighting, a long bar, and a few tucked-away nooks for more private seating. We went after dinner and found a couple of seats at the end of the bar, ordered a bottle of wine, and played cards The hip crowd grew around us. They do have small bite food options but we didn’t order any.
They specialize in craft cocktails, but their wine list is also short but impressive with reasonably priced bottles that are a little off the beaten path but clearly chosen with care. The bartender and staff were all busy it was a Friday night, and they’d just finished hosting a private event.
The atmosphere was great: dim, lively, and festive for Halloween. Whether you’re looking for an after-dinner drink or a place to unwind with friends, Crown Alley delivers. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous wedding weekend event for our daughter and son in law for 80+ guests. The entire staff was great. Chelsea was the first person we met and she was welcoming and glad to show off the place. Chayse booked our event and made great menu recommendations in our phone conversations before hand. The food she recommended for us did not disappoint. The bacon wrapped shrimp was the fav and the chicken wings were my husband’s favorite. We also had a salad , sliders , pretzel bites and meatballs. Ashley ran the show and the servers kept a drink in every hand from 5-8 pm. The bar tender’s cocktails were so delicious. The venue itself is such a great atmosphere from the red phone booth entrance to the beautiful decor inside and the patio space outside. Thank you Crown Alley!!

Great cocktails, service is…odd. We sat at the bar waiting a while for a woman who appeared to be working her butt off, while a man behind the bar spent his time chatting up customers. We did see him make one whole drink, so good for him? Would probably have been more efficient if he pulled his weight or chipped in a bit. But the woman with the lip piercing was killing it.

Tell your friends and family, this is one of Sanford’s most precious hidden gems. Enter at the back of the pub through a phone booth and instantly get transported back in time to the best speakeasy I’ve ever been to. Phenomenal cocktails, an extensive liquor list, and a wonderful atmosphere all come together to create a unique experience for any date night or celebration. Food from the attached restaurant is just as good. You must try the shepherds pie, it’s authentic and delicious. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

However, the cocktails were pretty basic for the price point and the service was so slow and it wasn’t even busy ♂️The lite bites were equally unimpressive.

So much to say about this fantastic little spot in the heart of Lake Mary. Fantastic service, drinks, and vibe. All that is 100% accurate.
The real gems of Crown Alley are the servers & bartenders, though. Nikki & Brooklyn were an *absurd* pleasure to be around (and SO tolerant of some new friends that joined us who were…exuberant.) and beyond professional while still being fun, entertaining, and on the spot with their service.
Can’t thank those two (Nikki & Brooklyn, in case we didn’t mention it) enough for being just plain awesome. Great staff takes the investment in a fantastic location, ambiance, and product and makes it something really special.
Kudos to the team @ Crown Alley! We’ll be back!

Saw an instagram reel about this place and on the way back from Orlando we gave it a try. The big red European phone booth was very cool, unfortunately it was not working. Note on the door side use side door. Still took a photo. Once inside, the front room was packed with what looked to be a group waiting for a tables at the Gafton Street. Once in the speak easy area the atmosphere was comfortable with booths, table, and bar. It was lit properly, with no idea it was sun and thunderstorm Florida afternoon. But they need to do something about vents, the AC blows great, but it needs to be redirected off the bar. Wife moved twice because it was so cold. The drinks selection was okay, and the 1 of the 3 guys behind the bar had extensive cocktail experience. The other 2 gave it their best. I understand they have only open about 6 week when we came in on a Saturday afternoon. So it’s a learning curve. Wife and I each had 2 drinks the first round was great the 2nd two needed some help, we ordered a sharkcoochie board that was amazing.
The bathrooms are COED, which was different, but didn’t bother me or my wife. When we walked out into the sun it felt like we just rolled out of Vegas casino at 7am without loosing money. Going to give it a few more months, but will be back to give it another go.

I stopped by this past weekend and had a great time. I wanted to share that Jack, the host, was wonderful. He always checked on me and made sure I got a seat at the bar once available. I truly appreciated it. Maddie was also great, and Alex at the bar was fantastic as well. The drinks were on point
