We thought it was a bit strange at first with the no-contact order and pickup process—it felt a little unusual. But once we tasted the food, none of that mattered anymore. The flavors hit hard! I had the chicken stew, and my wife had the oxtail—OMG. I literally wanted to jump out of my seat. Everything was rich, tender, and full of that deep island flavor. It was a touch salty, but honestly, still divine. Irie Rhythms definitely knows how to bring the flavor. We’ll be back for sure!

Let’s break it down:
The Good
The beef patty was easily the highlight of the meal. The crust was golden and flaky, encasing a spicy beef filling that was served hot and fresh. Honestly, this is the only item I’d consider ordering again.
The rice and peas were decent, with a touch of jerk seasoning that gave them some much-needed lift.
The Bad
The plantains were a complete disappointment—flat in flavor, as if they were simply peeled and thrown on the stove without a second thought.
The main entrée, the jerk chicken, was the ultimate letdown. Not only was the chicken overcooked to the point of mushiness, but the seasoning felt lazy. Instead of layered, smoky spice, what I got was chicken drowned in a jar of Walkerswood Hot & Spicy.
In the end, this meal didn’t just miss the mark—it felt like a disservice to the very Caribbean flavors it was supposed to celebrate. #GratuityAdded

Wow! I love authentic caribbean cuisine! This place is top notch! The portions are very generous, the menu has something for everyone! My new favorite is curried shrimp!! OmG! Price point is fair and order prep is FAST! I am going back today for a stewed chicken family sized take out meal for my whole crew! Definitely a 10/10 for me for good carribean food take out option!

I ordered from this place today for the first time. I tried out something small first just for a tester so I got the brown stew chicken snack box and oh my goodness this place is amazing!! So much flavor & definitely gave a good amount of food as well even though it was just a snack box. I loved the secure process of your food being in a locker that you can only access when you arrive. I definitely give this place a 10/10. I’ve found a new spot for sure.

My experience purchasing food from Irie Rhythms was not terrible but it wasn’t particularly memorable either. I ordered oxtail, rice and beans, plantain and cabbage. The meal was mediocre at best. The oxtail lacked any real depth of flavor. The rice was drowned in gravy which made it soggy. Overall, the meal was unremarkable.

Love this place but they randomly started charging an extra $8 for rice and peas which are usually standard. Absolutely ridiculous and I love them, but the rice and peas aren’t great to begin with, jerk chicken and Mac are great but protein portions aren’t large. We have tried all of the Jamaican restaurants in Charlotte and some in South Carolina. Irie Rhythms has the best food out of them all. Shout out to y’all! And the person who takes care of our order is always polite. That says a lot about the quality of this place!

When I tell you the food was everything that would be an understatement. The food was excellent and the portions size is big enough for two. The food was not overpriced. My new favorite spot to eat! Go check them and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
