I ordered the two eggs and steak breakfast. I asked to substitute the potatoes with sweet potato fries and she happily did so. I ordered the steak medium rare with sourdough toast.
The food came out pretty quick. The fries were crispy on the outside with a hint of salt and was really good. The sourdough was nice and I added butter to it. Now to the steak. The seasoning on the steak was really good but the steak itself came out well done. Not medium rare, not medium, but fully overly cooked. I didn’t complain because the server was so nice. I would probably come back because everything else came out really good but maybe try something beside a steak since that doesn’t seem to be their specialty.
For dinner, I had a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was delicious!
Since we were staying at the hotel, we were offered free breakfast. They suggested the pancakes which were out of this world! I am not a huge pancake fan, but we had them all 3 days we were there.
Between the food and the friendly owners, we will definitely be back when we visit the area again.
For dessert we split a crepe which was delicious as well.
Service was fantastic as well, very attentive, and it’s the owners working there and doing the cooking and even the serving. They take pride in what they do and it shows and you can taste it too!
Now for the negatives. We made the mistake of going on a Friday. They have a band on Friday but because of the layout of the restaurant the band makes it very difficult to have a conversation, even in the back of the restaurant in the furthest spot from the band.
Aside from that, the restaurant’s atmosphere is similar to a deli. The quality of the food (and to some extent the price… $15 for pancakes, $50 for steak) do feel out of place here and would be more at home in a fancier restaurant.
I came back two weeks later for breakfast and had their strawberry banana pancakes. Fantastic! About $15 for a stack of three, but loaded with fruit and slivered almonds. Fantastic and filling!
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they genuinely care about the customer experience.
Now, the food — absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. Whether you’re going for a casual bite or a special night out, Mikey’s has something for everyone. The [insert a standout dish here — e.g., “grilled salmon” or “house-made pasta”] was a personal favorite.
Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the portions are generous. You leave feeling satisfied and already planning your next visit.
Highly recommend Mikey’s to anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
Which slides into a robust lunch menu consisting of the popular staples such as burgers, fries, and more all the way into dinner.
This restaurant is a family owned business. The food is made from scratch, and you can tell by the taste.
At night, they become more of a late night venue. Hosting various events such as karaoke, open mic, stand up, and more.
A very eclectic business, which tries to touch into as much as their square footage can offer.
