If zero stars waa an option that would be what they would receive from this review. I waited over an hour for a web order. One Detroit style garlic herb pepperoni pizza. Not only were other customers coming in after me and getting their food first, it’s burnt to the point it’s hard as a brick and unedible. Y’all need to get a better system together, and get it together.

I don’t know who made this pizza but I have concerns. The dough is dry, ashy and soggy simultaneously. There is a distinct after taste that is reminiscent of crushed aspirin. That being said I had a headache before eating a slice….my headache is gone y’all need to be in jail expeditiously.

I have spent alot of money at Hungry Howies over the years, I have been a loyal customer, I have even doordashed for them. I spent $97 tonight on Pizza, Wings and a salad they forgot to deliver. I asked if they would atleast comp my $11 salad for making me wait for them to bring me another. The manager wouldn’t allow it. So I’m sitting here writing this review waiting to eat my pizza with my dinner salad. Oh, I did get a complementary 2liter. I ordered at 6:31 took an hour for delivery and looking like its going to be another hour on my salad. I should have went to TX Roadhouse! Update: The delivery driver said the manager compensated my salad! But didnt compensate the drink. Lol Its’s ok I finally get to eat. Thank You!

Service was the worst I have ever experienced.

I placed an online order at 6:20 PM, and the app estimated it would be ready in 35 minutes. By 7:10 PM, the app still showed my order as “being made,” so l called the store to avoid wasting time driving there just to wait. I was told my pizza was in the oven and would be ready in 7-10 minutes.

I waited the full 10 minutes and then drove to the store.At this point, the app showed the order was in the review stage. When I arrived and gave my name, the employee at the counter checked and told me-again-that it was still in the oven and would be another 10 minutes. I explained that I had just called 10 minutes earlier and was told the same thing. She apologized and said they had received a large influx of orders at once.

I told her that I wished I had been given a more accurate time on the phone, because I would have stayed at the store I was shopping at instead of standing there waiting. I then stepped aside.

During the next 20 minutes, the lobby filled with customers. Every person who asked about their order was told either “another 10 minutes because it’s in the oven” or “your ticket is next, about 15-25 minutes.” During this time, I personally witnessed at least five orders being refunded because customers were tired of waiting after being given repeated inaccurate updates.

At 7:22 PM, the app changed to “Order Ready.” When I asked about my pizza again, I was told-once again-that it was still in the oven and would be another 10 minutes.

At this point, I asked why the app said my order was ready if it clearly was not. The employee repeatedly responded with, “You’re more than welcome to come back here and look-it’s still in the oven. ” I was not accusing anyone of lying about where the pizza was; | was asking why customers were being given incorrect information both through the app and in person.

I also asked how my pizza could have been “in the oven” for nearly 30 minutes straight, yet still not ready. I was told they had received many orders at once. While I understand being busy, what I do not understand is being repeatedly told “10 more minutes” when that clearly was not accurate.
My pizza was finally ready at 7:40 PM – 1 hour and 20 minutes after placing an order that was estimated at 35 minutes, and 18 minutes after the app said it was ready.

This store is not poorly run because it is understaffed – I saw 5-6 employees working in the back. The issue is poor communication and inaccurate time estimates.

Had I been told the truth when I called – that it would be closer to another 30 minutes – I would have been perfectly fine with that. What I am not okay with is having my time wasted because staff repeatedly told customers their food would he ready in 10 minutes when it clearly was not.

Something has to change at this location.

The absolute slowest and worst Hungry Howie’s I’ve ever tried. How does it take over an hour to make a pizza every time we order? It always says anywhere from 12-18 mins at checkout but it ALWAYS takes AT LEAST an hour to get the food. When they hand me the pizzas after waiting an hour, they’re cold AND wrong.

No Cajun on the cheese bread as ordered. I asked for light sauce on the deep dish, I get no sauce. I ask for light mushrooms and light olives on another pizza, they gave me double, there’s not anywhere that isn’t covered in mushrooms or olives. I PAY for extra marinara and extra ranch for the salad and I don’t get either one of those either. I ask for the deep dish to be cooked well done, it’s not cooked well done but the regular pizza is cooked well done instead.

Seriously, I understand mistakes happen and I didn’t complain the first time I had issues but now I’m just irritated bc this entire order is a joke. Tell me you don’t give a crap about your job without telling me you don’t give a crap about your job.

Ordered pizza at 6:46 pm. Said it would take 55 min for a small flatbread pizza and small salad. Pizza and salad finally arrived at 8:22Pm. I live 10 minutes from location. Driver apologized but doesn’t make up for a DAMN COLD PIZZA!!!!!

I typically take my family here on Wednesdays for their weekly special. But on this particular night (7/13/25), we called to place an order, and we and were told they didn’t have any pizza sauce.

Say what !?!?

But still… always a good experience eating here.
