This is a local gem. Jason and his staff are friendly and attentive. They welcomed us and provided our group with some excellent recommendations. Everything we tried was fantastic. I got the Smoke Rueben and it was the best I’ve had. Others in my group had the catfish, ribs, smoked turkey, and the Cuban sandwich. I tried some of everyone else’s meals and it was all delicious. I will definitely be back.

Ribs were greasy but I would go back for them. Never had smoked bologna sandwich…always had it fried so that was different. People were so kind!
Can’t wait to go back and try more things off the menu!

This place is awesome. The food is incredible. The service was excellent (Dylan was our server and he was so friendly and on top of everything). The peach cobbler to finish it out.. addictive. Can’t wait to come back.

Our school was lucky enough to have Jake’s catered to us for a Thanksgiving Lunch. It was delicious! I have been to the restaurant in person as well and the staff is so kind and helpful. If you’re wanting a great southern meal, I recommend Jake’s!

Cozy little diner with good food! Liked the music decor with the random dinosaur figurines placed around the diner. The staff was friendly. We got the ribs, fries and the open faced roast beef. All were great! Ribs were smoky and fell off the bone.

We’ve been in Sumner County for 13 years. This was the absolute best Southern-style food I’ve had at a restaurant! This hidden gem has amazing customer service, the owner’s passion and love for food is evident, and the food…chef’s kiss!

Great cozy diner on a lovely back road.
Split a catfish plate with my momma, and ordered a few extra sides. Highlights were the hush puppies, catfish, and coleslaw. Mac & cheese, and white beans were good as well. I tried Lisa’s famous hot sauce… It was interesting, not my jam, but kudos to them for making all the sauces and stuff in house. Still thinking about those hush puppies

We found this little diner by spotting a sign that said “life changing tartar sauce.” Of course I had to go try it! I ordered a house burger (single instead of double) with fries. The burger was very tasty! I absolutely loved the crispy fries, especially when I dunked them in that tartar sauce (seriously, the best tartar sauce I have ever had!!). My husband got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and tater tots. He really enjoyed his meal as well. One of my absolute favorite things about this place was finding the little dinosaurs hidden around the restaurant. If you ever have the chance, stop by here! It is loved by these two Louisiana people.

Jake’s Diner never disappoints! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We tried the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles to start—both crispy and full of flavor. The main dishes were just as amazing: ribs, open-face roast beef, and perfectly cooked pork chops with classic Southern sides like fries, okra, mac and cheese, fried squash, and stuffing. Everything tasted homemade and seasoned just right.
To top it all off, the peach cobbler was the perfect ending—warm, sweet, and comforting. You can really tell they put love into their cooking. Highly recommend Jake’s Diner for anyone craving real down-home comfort food!
