I would love to give 5 stars in the coffee that they made but there was a hair in the bottom of my iced coffee.. other than that, I got an iced honey latte and a half pound of the Tanzania Ngorongoro limited estate AA everything was superb. Great shop. Amazing beans!

The best coffee hangout in Grass Valley!
Friendly baristas, wonderful homey ambiance with fresh flowers, and the best coffee drinks. The coffee is roasted on the premises.

Such a nice cozy place ! It’s not modern, no. But if you want to experience cowboy times America please visit it. Coffee is really nice and the atmosphere is really Christmas these days.
I think I paid around $6 for a cup

Great vibe, lots of people, and just a cool place to hang out! Ordered Iced Peach Green Tea that was lovely. My heated ham and cheese croissant was fresh. Just all around a super nice place to hang out and relax. Bonus, it is across the side street from a great bookstore!

It’s a very nice roastery, good vibe, great smell of coffee. The coffee is good if you like very dark roasts. It’s not burnt like in Starbucks but kinda half way between that and great coffee in some other Grass Valley coffee shops.

Caroline’s has been around for years and years, but now that there is competition in the area I don’t have a lot of reason to go there. They tend to water down the chai and it mostly tastes like milk, and any drink with chocolate in it just tastes like they added Nesquik mix or something. They are quite expensive as well, with any alternative milk costing you an extra dollar. With that in mind, the average drink I get is $8. The silver lining is that they open at 6am when other shops don’t open until 7:30 or 8am. I’ve always liked the vibe at Caroline’s, but the drinks are just not my thing and not worth the money.
