Absolutely incredible experience! Having traveled across several states and sampled Indian cuisine all over the country, I can confidently say this place stands out as a top-tier favorite. The Garlic Naan is perfection, and the Butter Chicken paired with Jasmine Rice is a ‘must try’.
What made the evening even more special was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed with a genuine smile.
It was the perfect environment to introduce my mother to Indian food for the first time; she can be a bit of a picky eater, but she absolutely loved her meal! If you appreciate bold, traditional flavors, don’t miss the Masala Tea.. it’s wonderfully fragrant with cardamom and spice. Truly a gem!

This under-the-radar Indian joint is easily the best, roadside restaurant we’ve ever stumbled upon. We’ve seen the road signs on I5 for over a year and finally decided to make a stop on a recent roadtrip. It’s not really in Olympia. You’ll need to take the Maytown-Littlerock exit about 10 miles south of Olympia. And then loop around to an unassuming building behind Maytown Truck Repair. There’s a tall sign visible from the road, so it’s an easy find.
The interior is unremarkable and very clean. The bass-infused, Indian dance music and the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen are portends of the delicious meal you’re about to be blessed with. We ordered the mango lassi, aloo matar, buttter chicken, the veggie pakora appetizer and both the garlic and saag naan.
Our food came out promptly and was truly beyond expectation.
Piping hot, freshly made naan, a well-filled pakora wrapped in delicate, flaky pastry, perfectly cooked and juicy chicken, vegetables that were also perfectly cooked, a fragrant and spicy little dish of green chutney, and sauces that were balanced and well-seasoned.
Easily on par with any of the Indian restaurants with 5-star reviews we’ve patronized in large cities round the US. Everything was prepared with care and made to a high standard.
Punjabi Boy should be on everyone’s destination list if in the region. It’s a about 90 minutes from our house, but I wouldn’t hesitate to jump in the car if anyone asked me if I wanted to go get dinner there. And if you’re passing by on the interstate, there’s no excuse not to stop in and enjoy a remarkable, roadside dining experience.

The food was amazing, from appetizers to entree and desserts. Do not miss the online pakora, aka fritters. These are prepared fresh, so crunchy and perfect blend of spices and sauces to go with.
Also the naan as well as rotis were outstanding. Especially the onion kulcha! Will be coming back for that for sure

We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The naan was honestly the highlight—perfectly cooked in the tandoor, warm and delicious. But what stood out even more was the owner’s kindness. We were dining with our three-year-old daughter, and while nothing on the menu suited her, the owner went out of their way to prepare a special, mild dish just for her. She loved it! You can tell they’re all about customer care, making sure every guest—no matter how young—is happy. Highly recommended!

Absolutely outstanding experience! The food was bursting with authentic Indian flavors that were rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Every dish tasted freshly prepared, with spices that were bold without overpowering. The masala was creamy and comforting, the naan was warm and fluffy, and the biryani was fragrant and cooked to perfection. Portions were generous and beautifully presented. On top of that, the service was warm and attentive, making the whole meal feel special. If you’re looking for high-quality Indian cuisine that truly delivers on taste and tradition, this place is a must!

We pre-ordered our dinner as we were on the road, running late & we knew we’d arrive only after the kitchen closed for the night. The staff was courteous & kind enough to take our order. Dinner was ready when we got there !
Decor and ambiance was ordinary but everything was clean & food was fresh. Rotis, channa masala and panneer were all great, rice was fluffy! Definitely worth a stop if in the area for piping hot meals & warm smiles.
Will definitely be back if in the area.

Give this place a try! The food was outstanding!! Best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. The service was slow, but they take their time and get it right! The atmosphere was basic, but comfortable. I ended up getting 3 meals out of the dish I ordered. Well worth the stop.

I wish I could give this restaurant 100 stars. After a long, stressful day, this place was exactly what we needed: really delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. They were relatively busy for a Sunday night, but our server was extremely helpful and pleasant. The food was so good, I hope I have dreams about eating it tonight. Highly recommended. Please come visit them, you won’t regret it.

This Indian restaurant is located on the west side of Hwy 5 very close to Freightliners Nortwest. We walked in and were seated immediately. We ordered an onion pakora as an appetizer (sorry, we ate it faster than expected. So you can see the empty plate.) It was very good and came with two sauces. All dishes arrived fast and hot. I had butter chicken and rice. Lamb Roganjosh was also ordered with rice. Garlic Naan was the last part of the food order. Drinks are bottled. The entrees were also very good with both sauces well developed. Very happy with the meal. The bathroom is not ADA compliant. Walls near the drive through inside are in need of detail cleaning and paint.

Just a thank you!
My sister and I, along with 3 freinds came in on Christmas eve 2-3pm this year 2025. Food was wonderful. The lady server was very gracious, even though we order a bunch of extra foods to take home with us. I have a few extra days now to savor the food. Thanks again for making our Christmas Eve wonderful.
