Man, can’t ask for a better customer service experience. The cook was super friendly and honest. Told the Greece was old and needed to be changed and still made my chicken parm sub the old school way, oil and frying pan. Even brought out some dessert for the wait. Oh.my.goodness. Little bit of a back story, my dad would get a steak and cheese from idk where and let me try it. Gross. The steak is dense, dry and flavorless. I decided to try Captain Nemos after Nita ( i think that was her name) , told me it was one of their best sellers. Reluctantly, I order. Boy am I glad I did. It smelled heavenly. I ordered three Subs for residents at my work.
3 steak n cheese subs with extra sauce, extra cheese , extra veggies n the subs were so bad.
The bread was dry n hard,
The steak was dry, over cooked n tasted like it was burnt.
I was charged for the extra sauce, veggies n cheese but didnt get any of it.
I called to let them know n see if they would do anything bc its kinda ridiculous to pay $27 for 3 burnt, hard subs that tastes like crap n nope nothing.

Definitely NOT happy with the changes you made. I have ate subs from here for over 40 yrs. And loved them. Got my normal corn beef today . Was so excited. Normally it starves me on the drive home but couldnt even smell it today. Got home and started eating it and i was so DISAPPOINTED. The lettuce was wrong, the bread was wrong. I have always ordered with extra seasoning and did so today. NOT a drop of oil/ seasoning on it. So extremely dry i could not finish it. I was so sad. Its my favorite place. Well it was. But today was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT. I called to complain and the lady on phone didnt seem to care. You lost a life long customer.

Basic restaurant pick up and go establishment. The food if your in to subs, are out of this world tasty . I absolutely love the place. Nick‘s hospitality is phenomenal and even if the food was nasty just because he’s so friendly and kind I would be back. This is definitely not like the one on Van Born that definitely is a knock off. This one Here , is top-tier.

This was my first time to this location, and my first time to Capt’n Nemo’s in many years. I grew up eating at the downtown Romulus location and this location kept that nostalgic feeling. The subs were delicious. I saw many reviews stating about the size of these subs and I feel as though they are plenty large enough. We will be back again.

Where do I start…
I informed the young lady working the register that it was my first time, and she was immediately annoyed I was in the store. It was CRAZY expensive, and the food was terrible. Maybe I ordered the wrong sub, but again, the lady up front was not interested in helping. They told me 10 minutes, it took 22. The waffle fries came in a small container and had 8 fries in it. The only problem is it was 7 dollars!!! You bet I immediately took a picture of it. I paid ~$23 for a sub and fries I immediately threw away after a few bites.
Here’s the best part, THEY CHARGE FOR EVERY, SINGLE, TOPPING. Yes, you read that correctly. I have never seen a sub shop charge for basic toppings. I believe it was 1.25 for every topping. I added pickles, peppers, and olives, and saw the price jump up $4.
I do not own a business, but if I did, I would imagine I would put some effort into it. This place seems like they stopped caring years ago. Honestly, why even stay open.
Some 5-Star reviews comment on how great the price is. Just a heads up, if you’re going leave fake 5-star reviews, don’t base it off something that can be fact-checked so easily.
