I cannot say enough good things about our dinner here tonight! Our server, Seth, was extremely attentive, kind, and very helpful when we were trying to decide what to order! We loved the portabella fries, chicken tenders, and the gorilla burger which was not only huge, but so cheesy and perfectly seasoned! Delicious! Also a cup of the red pepper gouda – amazing! And if that wasn’t enough, they had margaritas for $2.50! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area!

We are here for a conference at the university, and our rule of thumb when traveling is to not eat anything we have at home. So we heard some locals talking about Chatters, looked it up, had decent reviews, and decided to give it a try.
Hostess was super nice and prompt. Got us seated quickly and grabbed our drinks. Our waitress took quite a while to get over to our table and then wasn’t all that friendly and only checked onnus once and when she brought our ticket I had to ask for a refill. They may have been short staffed, so that’s why I gave service a 4 star. Times are tough, I get it.
But let’s talk about the food, because well that’s what people are coming for. They have a large menu, which even includes sushi. But we opted for the cauliflower points (it’s like garlic bread but made with cauliflower). It’s definitely worth a try. It was crispy, cheesy, and suuuper garlicky.
We also had the firehouse burger and fries, the bun was a cheesey bun, the burger was so moist and flavorful, and the best burger in quite a while. Our other entree was the KC Special. It was pastrami burnt ends with beer cheese on a bun… I am not a beer cheese fan at all, but the burnt ends sounded so interesting that I had to try it. It was so good, such a unique sandwich, it paired so well with the beer cheese, I was shocked. And rather than fries, I had the crispy Brussel sprouts. I’m like so picky over Brussel sprouts, sometimes theyare just under seasoned and over cooked. These were perfect! They had a nice crisp, plenty of seasoning with what I believe was a balsamic drizzle.
The manager/owner (?) Popped over and offered refills, which was nice, and he chatted for a second to make sure everything was good, which was nice.
Overall, we had a good experience, and I would recommend stopping in to try some of their unique dishes.

Let me start by saying, I’m not one to typically leave reviews for bad experiences, but this one was so bad that I felt I needed to. I’m a pretty understanding guy, so I get things happen.. but our waitress felt the need to be completely disrespectful, and act like a snotty pre-teen for some reason.
We arrived at Chatters Saturday around 5, were seated really quickly, and had drinks at our table within 2 or 3 minutes. We then sat there, and waited at least 15 minutes before our waitress came back to take our order. We watched the table next to us come in 5 minutes after us, get drinks, and get food ordered before we did. Not a big deal, it happens.
When we ordered, we asked for two appetizers, and I ordered the chicken parmesan (which I guess I should have said red & white chicken). Our appetizers come, and we only got one of the two we ordered. We tried to say something to the waitress, but she couldn’t be bothered to spend more than 1 millisecond at our table for some weird reason. Every interaction with her was slamming drinks on our table, or dropping food and leaving immediately.
So – after not getting one of our appetizers, our entrees start to come out. Everyone at the table is served, except me. There is a solid 15 minute wait for my food to come out, for some reason (we got no explanation). When it does come out, it’s a chicken alfredo. I spend the next 5 minutes trying to get our waitress’ attention, to say this wasn’t what I ordered. When she finally comes over, I tell her that, she argues that the chicken parmesan wasn’t on the menu, and that was the closest thing they had. Keep in mind, everyone at the table is done eating already, since it was a 15-20 minute delay on this one plate. I said “Okay, no worries, just go ahead and take it off the bill, I don’t want to make everyone wait on me.” She proceeds to storm off, shaking her head and flailing her arms. I’m still perplexed what we did to make this waitress treat us the way she did.
It’s a real shame, because the food I did get to try was really good. We definitely won’t be back in, after that ridiculous interaction. Speaking as a business owner myself – if one of my employees treated my customers the way she did, she would be out of a job immediately.

I came in waiting on car repairs and I’m not local to Pittsburgh. However the environment was very cozy and calm, music wasn’t out of the ordinary, and service was excellent. The food was delicious. I had sushi while my girlfriend ate a burger and we had an excellent appetizer of loaded fries. There was nothing not to like.

I requested no onions on my sandwich. When the waitress brought it to our table, she said the meat already had the onions in it when they “cook” it and she didn’t know that?? Sweet potato fries were luke warm at best. Disappointing all around.

Interesting choice, my team of 5 decided on Chatters as the place we’ll have lunch. I was intrigued because of the menu.
We started out with two appetizers, Fried Ravioli & Popcorn Shrimp Basket. To be honest the Fried Ravioli wasn’t worth ordering. Pretty much flavorless! The menu read stuffed with cheese & jalapenos. I don’t think either existed in the ravioli. Had great potential but just didn’t deliver.
The Popcorn Shrimp was a step up and we’re actually pretty good. The dipping sauce was rather strange – it seemed to be a spicy teriyaki which was okay just not a dipping sauce I expected. Maybe a choice of sauces would be a better option.
Four of the 5 choose burgers and I think everyone truly enjoyed their choice. I chose the KC Special – pastrami burnt ends, w/two 1/4 lb burgers with cheese and a side of Freedom Fries. Two others chose the Heavenly Bacon and the last picked the Mushroom Burger. I think it’s fair to say everyone enjoyed their burger.
The lone dissenter felt the need to be on the healthier side and he went with the salmon. He described it as dry and over cooked. Luckily he choose the French Onion soup as a starter and he said it was one of the best soups he’s had! Another one in the group also ordered the same and he said it was delicious. I’m mad at myself for not ordering because that is one of my favorites and can’t believe I actually passed on it!
Our server was GG and she was very pleasant and she was good at checking in on us to make sure we were doing okay. We enjoyed her waiting on us for our lunch meal.
If we ever make our way to Pittsburg again I think I would definitely try this place again and look at trying other items on the menu!

We moved to SW Missouri a year ago and found this place online. We love coming here and the food is always great! We have tried just about a dish from each category and haven’t been disappointed yet. Love the boneless wings with the Cajun rub, fam loves the Firecracker sushi roll, and the little one always gets the kids cheeseburger. Pizza is good as well and mixed drinks are a good pour. Always a good time! (During Pitt State games it can get pretty busy so just know the schedule…lol). These photos are just from one of our trips but as stated, everything is great!

Food is always great! Used to like Chatters a lot but it is outrageously priced now. My bill seemed to be a lot higher than expected, I don’t think the items on the menu were accurate. The server I had last time really was the deciding factor. Bad service, poor listening skills, and bad attitude! Will not be going back. I’ve never done a food review before but this last visit really bummed the whole table out.

Asked for milk for coffee, since only had hazlenut creamer, & waitress brought me buttermilk, said couldn’t find any milk. I order soup which was barely warm & the Thursday special of boneless wings, which were cold, fries were heavily salted & cold!!! Had to request extra set silverware as waitress brought only 2 sets ( there was 3 to our party), & asked 3 times for sugar for coffee. I won’t be back!!!
