Delicious, Great spot for a affordable family dinner, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 5 kids. Service was super friendly and they loaded us up on fries in our fry basket.
Store was clean and comfortable.
Thank you!

Stopped in for the pizza and thought the pizza was just average.

The crust was fine, crispy and tasty. The tomato sauce was too thick for my taste and did not taste homemade, the cheese was fine and I did like all the basil.

Service was perfect.

Stopped by to grab lunch. Gentleman that took our order was very friendly. We had the basket of onion rings, the Chicken Ranch sub and the Italian Grinder. Everything was fresh and the onion rings were the best I’ve ever had. So crunchy. Definitely be back soon.

You don’t come here for the atmosphere. You come for the food. The pizza here is perhaps the best in the OBX. I say “perhaps”, because there are a lot of really good pizza places. So no ding on them. We have eaten them and yes, good. Yellow Submarine is excellent. Personal preference. I can’t comment on the other menu items, but ordering the pizza and enjoying a beer at the bar while I wait for the pizza is pretty nice.

Server didn’t remember whose drinks belong to who after 2 minutes.

They don’t understand simple questions – we ordered drinks but the fountain drink stand is in the lobby. We asked do we refill our own drinks he said you need to order them first.

Our server is from the Ukraine, and others are from Poland and Croatia. This would explain the lack of understanding simple questions.

The place is dark.

The walls are lined with Beatles memorabilia and with the Beatles records.

The cheese fries are scrumptious and come out hot and fresh. A must have!

The Italian grinder wasn’t the best, it was flavorless causing me to use ketchup as a flavor. The meat was cold but the sub was cooked. I don’t recommend

The cub grinder is the choice if you’re into grinders. We requested crispy bacon and it came out perfect.

The rip curls (similar to a calzone but open ended) are okay, we ordered the pepperoni. It comes with 2 sauces, ranch and pizza sauce.

As expected it was greasy but tolerable. Don’t order the 12 ripcurls count unless you’re starving. You’d need more than dipping sauce

The server didn’t provide the amenities you’d expect from a restaurant, napkins, checking on you. We had to ask for refills and each time he asked what we were drinking. Really??

The pizza crust is bland and limp, no seasoning. The sauce tastes like watery pasta sauce.

You’d be happier with the ripcurls

The restaurant appears to be clean. They clean a table almost immediately once patrons leave.

The bathroom is dirty!!! They should be maintaining the bathrooms better. It was awful.

A nice experience. We went because my adult special needs son loves the song they named their eatery after.
The food was good. The atmosphere was nice. The owner donated a shirt for an autism benefit we were doing just shortly after our trip.

YSP is a nice little place. Our waiter/host was very nice. The place was calm and clean. I got the Philly and my girl got the buffalo chicken sub. They were okay. Hers was just frozen chicken bites with buffalo sauce sprinkled on and mine was a pile of lettuce with a pinch of steak and some grilled veggies. Fries were great tho!

Quite literally the worst sub I’ve ever had. Got a buffalo chicken sub and a chicken Parmesan sub. The chicken used feels like it was microwaved and picked out from the attached photo. Absolute trash. Do not recommend to anyone. They also can not read and made the Philly cheesesteak we ordered incorrectly, when it only had 2 ingredients chosen. Onions on the cheesesteak also trash, not even grilled onions. More like soggy raw onions. I don’t know how these people are still in business, they shouldn’t be. Worst place I’ve ever ordered food from in my entire life. Just close honestly. Overpriced, and disgusting.

We came in with a very large group of girl scouts and adults on no notice. We were able to walk right in and sit down, orders were filled super quickly, service was friendly. We appreciate it!

As we pulled into the Outer Bank to start our week long vacation, we stopped for lunch in Nags Head on our way to Kill Devil Hills. Our first couple of stops were only serving breakfast or brunch. We moved on to Yellow Submarine and found our lunch just after 12:30 on a Sunday.

Our table for ten was ready immediately and many of the other tables were also occupied or would soon be filled with hungry patrons. The long bar stayed empty but would make a good spot for a quick dinner if the tables were all full.

My wife and I split the chicken Philly, grilled chicken cooked with white onions, sauteed green peppers, and mushrooms. This is topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and white American cheese, served with potato chips (6-inch: $8.49, 12-inch: $13.49). Overall this is a very filling sandwich and the taste was good. There is plenty of cheese on top, which is a requirement for a solid Philly.

The start of the meal were the rip curl appetizer we shared with the table. These are pizza dough brushed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh garlic, Italian seasonings, and stuffed with Mozzarella cheese and pepperoni, sliced into pinwheels then baked (12 count for $17.48). These are awesome and highly recommended! A smaller 6 count is available for a smaller group.

Overall the prices are a little high, but that often comes with tourist destinations. Our service was excellent and the food was good.
