Stopped in for first time since they opened years ago! I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to return! Outdoor space is really great, their QR code ordering system is really efficient and an overall great place for food and drinks!!! Look forward to returning for music and fire pit!

Norte Azul Cantina is located at the crossroads outside of Stephentown NY. It claims to be the only bar in town and has positioned itself as the place to come to hang out with others. Dining inside and out with overflow seating under a tented picnic area. There’s even a small stage for outdoor musicians. As suggested by its name, Mexican cuisine and food is featured. My wife and I drove over from Mass while visiting in the Berkshires. She ordered Barbacoa steak soft tacos w crema drizzled on top that were very good. She also asked for sides of black beans and Mexican rice. Unfortunately, both were tasteless and inedible. I selected the empanadas which came as a crusty pastry filled with seasoned beef drizzled with crema and was very tasty! Very pricey though, 2/$12. A third one would’ve been appropriate. I added a small bowl of Rancher Chili which was actually huge, plus a Mexican brewed Modela Nigra beer.

Food was average. Ordered takeout because it was too loud and the wait was too long to sit. They never notified me my food was ready. Also tried to get me to pay twice (claimed I didn’t pay when I went to get my food after having paid when I ordered). Cherry on top is that my order was missing an entree and they expected me to drive back to get it claiming it was my fault it wasn’t in the bag. This is unacceptable customer service. Also, who provides ketchup instead of salsa for Mexican? Not coming back.

What a cool place. Lots of outdoor seating. We sat inside. Friendly upbeat staff. Amazing margaritas (I had the Cadillac) food came out quick and vey delicious, fresh ingredients. I had a chimichangas with skirt steak, she had chicken enchiladas, we had started with street corn dip and chips, and cowgirl balls I think they were called, very good. They had live music and place was hopping. Manager stopped by to say hello and ask how everything was. We will be back, Thank You

Huge Mexican restaurant upstate New York, on NY 22 near Stephentown, NY. Very few decent eating establishments on the way up north so this is a good stopover for lunch or dinner

We came on a Saturday night and were seated within 5 minutes. Signs on the front door directed us to enter through a side door. It looks like in warmer weather they have seating outside which looks fun! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was fun, busy and we enjoyed the live music. The kids loved the chicken fingers and fries and the black bean soup. The Birria quesadilla was crispy and I liked the flavor. I didn’t actually care for the Birria sauce (tasted like it had cinnamon in it) so I was glad they brought that on the side. We liked the tacos, too. I would pass on the Elote bites, they were too sweet with too much breading. The chips and salsa were good but overpriced. Overall would recommend.

Not just because we live up the road but because it’s earned, Nortes is our go to place! Margaritas are a must here many choices to choose from and the food is always consistent. Services and fast and friendly. I’ve enjoyed every waitress and bartender we’ve had in the past 3 years we’ve been going. If you have a chance to stop by I highly suggest you do !

Middle of nowhere. Perfection. Food was bountiful and fresh. Hearty, hearty portions. I had the shrimp taco special that came with the loveliest and freshest salad. Chips/salsa were great. I was tooo full lol. Margs are . I can’t wait to try the coconut lime marg next time. Had a sip of my friend’s A+++

Let me just start by saying the nachoes are worth every single penny!!!!! The Tex Mex salad was okay, a bit too sweet for my liking but it was good. My mother got the chimichanga and she loved it. The waitresses were very kind and quick to get our orders. The food comes out about 10 – 15 minutes after you place your order. PS. How much you spend can rage from $10 – $100 per person depending on how much you order.
