Social Profile:

Some walls divide, ours bring people together – welcome to San Patricios, brought to you by The Dead Rabbit. The bond between Ireland and Mexico goes deeper than fiestas and hooleys, whiskey and mezcal. These two nations share a spirit of rebellion, resistance, pride and defiance – and in the 1840s, they joined forces to form the Batallón de San Patricios, defending Mexican soil from American invasion. The odds were stacked, but they fought on, together, to the bitter end. Here, we channel the rebel spirit of our namesake, paying homage to those who fight for what’s right, no matter the cost. Expect cocktails, cervesa, tequila, poitín, Mexican street food, and Irish pub classics, alongside live music, bread broken, and spirits spilt.

Industrial-chic Irish-style pub serving bar bites & burger mains, plus craft brews & spirits.

This was our fourth time at San Patricios and it just keeps getting better! Our waitress, Sophia remembered us from our first visit – she has given us consistently amazing service! She provided recommendations and made our dining experience so great.
We were excited to try “El Spice Bag” and it did not disappoint!
We finished the meal (after sharing a bunch of plates) with the San Patricios Coffee – it might be the best one we’ve had!

See you again soon!

San Patricios is a new and lively bar in Jersey City that offers an extensive drinks menu and some bar food options. The ambiance is captivating, the service was generally great (our primary server was great but the secondary server spilled sauce on us while putting the dishes on the table), and the food was good (fine for bar food but nothing out of the ordinary). We ordered the Esquites, Shrimp Cocktail and Fish and Chips. Everything was well plated but the flavors weren’t quite there for us.

Nonetheless, the visit was enjoyable and we look forward to be back to try orher things (my friend tells me the Huevos Rancheros is amazing!).

Loved this place. We called for El Spice Bag which was amazing. Do not miss their spicy guac and chips. For tacos, if you want something different, try their chicken curry tacos and you won’t regret it. The cocoktails are great too. Overall a superb place!

We love the food and the service here. The menus are seasonal so be sure to come back frequently for great dishes and drinks. San Patricios executes Irish and Mexican cuisine well. They also thoughtfully curate a drink menu that honors both traditions while blending them exceptionally well. The service here is best. You will feel right at home.

Overall very good! Loved the drinks and our entrees. Only knocking a star off because the esquites was extremely watery and unappetizing. Almost like the corn wasn’t drained?! Not sure if that’s just how they serve it but I’ve never eaten watery esquites and wouldn’t order it again.

Entrees: sausage rolls and fish tacos

Drinks: Atole de Nuez, Soladeras and the frozen coffee (has alcohol).

Amazing place with both Mexican and Irish vibes!
The food is absolutely delicious, the service is great, and the interior and atmosphere are stunning.
I’ve been here twice-once at night, when it was fun, lively, and felt so authentic, and once during the day, when I truly enjoyed the calm and cozy vibe.
It’s amazing how you can experience two completely different moods in the same place.
I’ll definitely be coming back again.
Thanks you!

This place is a lot of fun and visiting is a great experience. We’ve been back 3 times now. A few teething problems on opening, but nothing significant and they seem to be hitting their stride now.

1. Service for our most recent visit was absolutely fantastic. Great recommendations, friendly and attentive, and contributed to a relaxed and entertaining environment.
2. Food was good. The menu is on the more casual side, in line with the pub/cantina concept. For what they’re going for, I thought it was executed well.
3. Mixed drinks were excellent! Interesting and fun cocktail menu. Some of the Irish/Mexican combinations sounded very surprising, but worked very well. Have the San Patricio coffee, I’d go back just for that.

Such a clever and thoughtful bar concept! Please take a moment to look up the history of the San Patricios Battalion. I went on a Friday night with my partner and we enjoyed the atmosphere, the DJ set, the decor, the drinks and the FOOD! For starters, we got the ‘Queso Fundido’ and let me tell you, I could not stop eating it We also got 2 ‘Birria Tacos’ and they were so good! The tacos came with dipping ‘consomé’, salsa verde and a salsa roja! The ‘Birria Tacos’ were perfection – As for our main entrees, I ordered the ‘Enchiladas’ with the side of ‘Green Rice and Beans’ and my partner got the ‘Carne Asada’ (skirt steak) which comes with chimichurri and a side of rice and beans and
both were flavorful and tasty. Wonderful place and you can tell the owners really thought about every detail with care, Irish heart and Mexican soul. I wish nothing but success for this new establishment in Jersey City! Please support and check out their instagram page to look up their schedule for live music on Thursdays and Sundays. Ciao!

Came here first (or maybe second) day of their soft open. A few kinks were still being worked out, but our server, and the service overall, including the hosts and manager, were absolutely wonderful. They had crayons and a coloring sheet for my son and everyone was very attentive throughout.

The drinks, which is what you should come here for, were fantastic and met the Dead Rabbit standard (a very high bar). The food was just fine though, not bad but not outstanding. The decor and ambiance were also spot on. Definitely recommend this for a date night.

As big fan of the original The Dead Rabbit, I knew that I had to try the new concept now in Jersey City. I had the irish coffee and while I was a little skeptical about the tequila in it, let me tell you that it was amazing! Such a vibrant combination.
I only tried the “queso fundido” and me and my friend loved it. Our server was “Nel”
I believe, and she was so nice and attentive.
The place was basically full on a Thursday night with a live dj, and the vibe was so fun! Can’t wait to come back
