Had the duck green curry (tough meat, very little meat but alot of skin), river prawn pad thai (ok nice with a bit of a chilli kick but otherwise not too special… was a bit too wet and noodles too sticky + 1 beer total 770B (incl. 7% VAT service charge)…. Line up system was confusing and the lady manning the list (‘Tanya’) talked in an unfriendly and frustrated to e. Really surprising how their got their Michelin recommendation in 2025 & 2026…. Maybe Michelin is losing its credibility. I don’t recommend this place at all…. Can get better tasting Thai dishes at local joints for 1/2 the price or better imo.

The roasted beef rice bowl was very nice, tender beef and the spicy miso sauces and the pickle onion goes very well together. The stirred fried okra was okay, the head and point part has too much fiber to swallow.

Nice thai food – the morning glory is good and must ask for abit spicy!
The omelette with pork is good too!
Nice ambience with friendly staff, good to cool off in a hot day!
Worth a visit!

Northern Thai food with a fusion twist. Incredible flavours, comfortable environment and super service. Given its location (kinda inside the large craft market) I wasn’t expecting great things… but, oh boy, they really delivered. Recommended.

Best Thai food in Chiangmai. You can feel the love and dedication through the food. Highly recommend for pork ribs, fish coconut curry, salacca and prawn soup (which is not tom yum goong), and durian ice cream.
Worth every baht you spend there.

Amazing food. I had the duck green curry with brown rice and it was absolutely delicious. The flavours were rich, balanced, and perfectly cooked. The portion size was great.

This is truly a Michelin-starred restaurant! The service is excellent, the staff are very friendly, the environment is great, and the food is delicious! I ordered three dishes and they were all tasty! I recommend pork eggplant, curry crab meat, and tom yum soup! The portion size is not large, so the price is a bit high, and there is no free ice water.

We had a blast, there make sure to eat and try some delicious food.
Tanya and Pala were very nice to us and explain a lot of the vision of the restaurant and the owner.
Food was really good, we order some Indonesian dishes.
Make sure to support and help the foundation that they support. The cute cup holders are made there.
Can wait to be back!

Impeccable service, Nasi lemak deserves six stars as it was generously plated and balanced. The anchovies were huge and the piece de resistance was the fried chicken thigh.
A new addition to the Michelin guide in 2025, definitely worth a visit.

Visited May 2025 – Kang Jingjai in Chiang Mai is an absolute gem! This place quickly became one of my top food experiences in Chiang Mai, and for good reason. The food is incredibly fresh, bursting with flavour, and truly showcases authentic Thai cuisine with remarkable talent in their cooking. The absolute highlight and a must-try is the soft shell crab Pad Thai – it hit every flavour spot and was simply brilliant!
Beyond the incredible food, the service was excellent. The staff were really friendly and made a genuine effort to explain dishes to us despite a language barrier, which was so appreciated and made the experience even better. Prices are excellent, and the portions are generously big, easily shareable, making it perfect for trying a variety of dishes if you’re in a group. Kang Jingjai is a definite must-visit!
