This was our first time here and it was such a cute and cozy restaurant. Our waiter was so kind and helpful. I ordered a classic Lasagna and my partner ordered the rigatoni al
Pastor and we both loved our meals! We shared a Caesar salad which was more than enough for the 2 of us.

I was basically the first customer in the door today. Was only greeted by a funny look upon walking in. Seated myself, a gentleman brought water and a menu. Then another gentleman appeared shortly afterwards and asked me if I ordered a beer, which I hadn’t.
Ordered a bruschetta and lasagna. Complimentary bread took a bit to show up and didn’t even come with butter. bruschetta was good, I prefer it without balsamic vinegar which is how they served it, though that might not suit others since it is abnormal for a bruschetta.
Eventually they tried to serve me somebody else’s chicken alfredo. A few mins after that the lasagna came, it was fine but nothing exceptional. The best lasagna I’ve ever had in the US was at Cosi Cucina in Des Moines, if that’s a 10/10, then this was a 6/10 relative to that.
I had planned on having dessert but chose not to given the constant screw ups and the fact that it took quite a while to be seen to after finishing the lasagna. Plus I wanted to get to the Musketeers game on time.
When I left there were only a few other tables with customers. I hate to think how these guys handle a full house if this is how things are right on opening time.
I wish these guys all the best, but if I do drive up to Sioux City again, I’ll choose to go elsewhere.

We went with four people. They seemed understaffed for a Saturday night. I had to flag down server to get refills and new drinks. 3 of the 4 entrees we got, we’re not very good. I had the stuffed pork chop. It was dry and tough. I don’t remember what they ordered. But the food was like a salt lick. I think the other one was a steak.Ravioli, that noodles were way overcooked and fallen apart. Server never asked how food was just if we wanted to go containers for all the food that wasn’t eaten. Very disappointing

Delicious lasagna, great portion size, and a nice price. Love this place. July 2025 update: the food was still good, but the place itself is in need of some renovations. The A/C was out when we visited, the ceiling tiles are noticeably dirty, and the trim work needs fixes and paint touchups.

Very good local Italian place. Although I know plenty would be fond of my main course, it was very very tomato based, which I’m not a fan of. However, it was still pretty good. Someone who likes a heavy base of tomatoes would like it even more. Fresh bread and real butter was good and kept coming. Salad was quite flavorful and good. The lemon cake was suggested for desert, which I accepted as a choice. It was good, but I think I’d enjoy something else as much or more, even though it was quite good. Staff is friendly and conversational. They stay attentive to your table. Something I’d be interested in going back again to see what else they may have that I’d maybe even like better. I’m comfortable believing there are more really good things to try, so will be looking forward to another visit.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. The service was very good. I had the stuffed pork chop and my wife had the chicken Florentine. The pork chop was stuffed with spinach and cheese. The pork chop with the spinach was too salty for my taste. The chicken Florentine sauce was also too salty. The sauce for both dishes, had either been overheated or something, because both sauces had separated when they were on the plate. The flavor to both dishes was good. Other than being a little salty. The dumplings were great. The tiramisu was OK. It wasn’t the best I had but it wasn’t the worst that I had either, the price is at this restaurant or pretty standard for what food cost today. The stuffed pork chop, the chicken, Florentine, and tiramisu was just under $55.
The parking was street parking. And 5 PM you no longer have to pay for the meter.

From an Italian… Warning!!! This is NOT authentic, it’s more like Mexican/Italian. They were out of the first 2 things we tried to order. The appetizers were disappointing. Calamari was an overcooked frozen mess. Our Shrimp cocktail was 8 warmish fishy shrimp on a plate with a side of cocktail sauce, not edible. Our drinks took a good 20 minutes. We had to ask for bread after noticing the other tables were getting bread baskets when they were set. Our entrees were salty and the red sauce tasted like soy sauce. Nothing was fresh, it all tasted like frozen items you’d pick up at Walmart. Do not recommend! Those who do, just have no idea what Italian food is supposed to taste like. I’m sorry!

Such an AWESOME dining experience! I wasn’t expecting something this good and authentic in Sioux City, but Trattoria Fresco is the big deal! Easy to find the location, and great parking. Laid-back but super personable service. Great menu and very accommodating. The linguini and clams were superb, and that was literally, the best cannoli I’ve ever eaten. Don’t hesitate to try this place! Some of the best food I’ve had outside of Italy itself.

Great place to sit and eat. I brought my wife and 11 month old son here to eat. They didnt have a kids menu but had no issue making something kid friendly for my baby. The server recommended us amazing plates and I had a glass of Moscato. Such a great experience. This was my first time coming here and I loved it so much

My husband and I had our first date at their original location and South Sioux City 11 years ago. Now that they have moved downtown it is closer to our house but still has the authentic Italian dishes. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a unique place for lunch or dinner.
