Just when I thought all Golden Krust locations would be as good as the one in Kennesaw—NOPE. I spent over $60 on two oxtail plates and found a piece of plastic in my rice and peas. Management tried to tell me it was an onion, not plastic. Absolutely disgusting. 0/10 would not recommend.

Visited Sunday October, 5th, 2025 between 2-4pm. Made the mistake of giving this place another try. I almost tried the oxtail again until I looked up ad saw the lady loading the container with bones! I could see the pot she was getting them from was basically empty. When I asked the server for different ones, from the back or something, she looked to the cashier who said they’re all like this. Really? So Golden Krust wants to be known for selling oxtail bones? I should’ve just canceled the entire order. But nooooo, I ignored my gut and went ahead and bought the jerk chicken. Dry as a desert and flavorless. (”ll post a picture) NEVER AGAIN! The owner and/or management needs to address the workers who served me today. I would like to believe, they’re not ok with the quality of food as well as the server not bringing out a fresh batch of oxtails. You probably don’t care, but you’ve lost a customer and I’ll never recommend you restaurant to anyone, ever. Mind you, I look for places to cater large companies. This place will not be one of them. Disappointed is an understatement. Once again, money wasted. Smh.

Pell is absolutely amazing.
I stopped by and she literally cooked me up fresh red snapper on the spot — and when I say fresh, I mean seasoned perfectly, hot, flavorful, and made with real care. You can taste when someone puts love into their food, and that’s exactly what she does.
What stood out even more than the food was how much she genuinely cared. That kind of service is rare.
The red snapper was seasoned beautifully, cooked just right, and full of flavor. No shortcuts. No rushing. Just excellence.
If you want food made with skill and soul, Pell is the one. I truly appreciate her and will absolutely be back.

I’ve been a customer for the past 2 years due to good food & excellent customer service. I will not be back due to management now having customers to pay prior to placing an order. I was accommodated being a long time customer today but was informed by management this is their policy as of December. After speaking with other customers they also PREFER to walk and order as they fix your plate. They have increased prices and I still tried to support but if you’re used to ordering as they prepare your plate it’s NOT an option!! This is frustrating when you spend over $40 for 2 dinner plates and can no longer order as they do your portions. I will not be back

Update: Im going to stop coming to this location! Food was not that good came in for lunch. No one was there. I ordered brown strew chicken plate. The rice portion was small and typically this place is not stingy with rice today she was very stingy with my rice portion, and gave me mostly bones for the chicken barely received any meat. Asked for a side of rasta pasta and was told it was an up charge which is no problem. She puts it in the container with all my other food and I asked for it to be separated in a small container they usually give. She says it will be a $6 up charge vs $3 if she does that. When did this change smh. Yea this place is money hungry and food was definitely not fresh my last two visits and not that good this visit. The food is already expensive, and they charge service fees and ask for tips.
I have visited this location twice and service is not the best. The food is good that’s why i came back. I ordered a small brown stew chicken plate.
Then she didn’t have any Rasta pasta for a side so I thought she was gonna let the scoop she gave me go. Nope she charges me for a whole side and I barely got any. She said to me that’s the up charge for it.

The service and the food was absolutely magnificent! The greens were beyond delicious. My husband and I deliver freight for a living and we are from So. IL and had never eaten at any of these establishments previously but now absolutely will again!!!

Very clean restaurant. This new location is about the 4th island type of restaurant in a 5 mile area. I would say it’s pretty decent. The workers are very friendly and I’ll probably go again. I had oxtails and a side of rice and peas and veggies. Oxtails are on the smaller side.
