What a wonderful find during our Oahu stay. We had an excellent meal and fun experience eating here, with Anthony preparing our Hibachi dinner. Anthony was very fun, engaging, and friendly. He had some funny jokes and did a great job talking to all of us around the table, all while preparing a delicious meal. The manager, Eduard, was so attentive and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. He did a great job making sure we were taken care of throughout the meal and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting a few minutes before leaving. I would highly recommend eating here if you’re in Waikiki. It was a 10/10. We will be back if we have the chance.

We had an amazing experience at Tanaka of Tokyo! Chef Anthony was absolutely entertaining—hilarious, engaging, and incredibly talented. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection, with plenty of laughs along the way. Our server, Kekai, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and my water glass was never empty. Eduard, the manager, was wonderful as well. He came over to chat with us and made us feel truly welcomed. Great food, great service, and a fantastic atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

The food and the service were great. Sean did an amazing job engaging with everyone and cooked the food to perfection. Manager, Ed, checked on us a couple of times which doesn’t happen often anymore. I would say that the atmosphere was a bit dated, but still well maintained and nicely dimmed. The prices were a bit high, over $200 for two people getting steak and a single drink.
