I have not visited since new ownership change. I am happy to say that one of my favorite dishes, salt and pepper squid, is still done well here. Light, tasty, and not over oily. This dish alone is worth the trip. The bonus is that all other dishes we ordered were also very tasty. Unfortunately lunch crowds on a Friday did not show up. I think this place needs more love and judging by our experience in November 2025 I recommend this place. Other dishes we tried were the chow mein, pork ribs, and chicken. Others in our party ordered extra squid orders to snack on at home. I prefer it hot out of the fryer! Service was attentive and the place was clean.

Drove all the way from New Jersey to Oregon.First place we stop was this restaurant.And I have to say was the best decision. All the food was delicious, but the calamari was to die for. The texture and the way they Fried it omg was so delicious. Now.

The food is excellent!! I live out of state but have been visiting regularly for 30 years! Pepper-salted squid is my favorite food…ever!! I would pick it as my death row last meal! I always try something new when I go (along with the squid) and Im never dissapointed. Please ignore the duck tape everwhere, it seems to be holding all the seating together…it adds charm : ) I think the food comes out quickly but sometimes you have to hunt for staff to get the check or refills but all of that is forgivable because of the squid!

This is a generic “American Chinese” restaurant. Think Village Inn or Denny’s of Asian food. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t hit the spot for my hankering for some Chinese food for dinner. We had the Pepper fried chicken- dry and not flavorful. The veggies were good- not over-cooked. We also had a stirfry dish and that was good, we finished that off. Yes, you have to pay for rice, to go with the stirfry. Hmm- a sure sign its gone in the direction of catering to general bland palate. The hot pepper crackle oil was not hot at all. Drizzled 2 tablespoons over the chicken with minimal impact.
I think they may have been understaffed. So I’ll try again at a future time. This used to be a solid place to go to dinner.
There were several families seated throughout the restaurant with toddler to 12 y.o. range. The families were enjoying their time together so I’d say the ambiance was hospitable. There is a parking lot available.

Food is generally good. My family has come here over the years. Recently we got the beef chow fun, ray muon, and crispy chicken. Beef Chow fun was great and so was rau muon. The crispy chicken was disappointing though. It was overcooked and dry. Place was busy but the two servers were attentive and overall quality of service was good.

I haven’t had the Salt and Pepper Squid here in years because I didn’t have a good experience last time but now I’m back. The food tasted great along with the Yang Zhou Fried Rice I got. My friend also got the Mushroom Chicken and Wonton Soup and he said they really hit the spot.
I guess the only thing that sucks is the Squid is now $22 as opposed to $17 last time I had it, which was probably over 5 years ago. I suppose it’s nice to come here every now and then.
