We started with the Roasted Beet Tower, which was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced, followed by the Butter Lettuce, light and crisp with excellent flavor. The fried calamari and asparagus were perfectly cooked crispy, not greasy, and great for sharing.
For mains, the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe was outstanding: creamy, rich, and executed exactly how this classic Italian dish should be. The house-made potato gnocchi was soft, comforting, and full of flavor you can really taste the quality and care in their handmade pasta.
Dessert was a highlight and absolutely not to be missed. The Egg Nog Bread Pudding, Triple Chocolate Lava Cake, and house-made tiramisu panna cotta were all exceptional and the perfect way to end the meal.
To drink, we loved the Dragonfruit Mojito and the Mezcalita both well balanced, refreshing, and beautifully crafted.
From the food quality to the atmosphere and drinks, Fattoria e Mare truly delivers. If you’re searching for one of the top Italian and best overall restaurants in San Francisco, this spot should be at the top of your list. Highly recommend and definitely coming back.

Atmosphere 10/100
You have to check out it’s great.
The ambiance was decent, with nice decor and live music. However, the music was so loud that it made it very difficult to hold a conversation.
Unfortunately, the food was the biggest letdown. The flavors were one-dimensional and lacked any depth. The lobster was extremely salty and overcooked, and the risotto was quite bland. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the shrimp.
Given the high price point, the experience was definitely not worth it. We will not be returning.
Will definitely come back
The selection of cheese and meets it’s delightful, I couldn’t take pictures of the other plates we had calsone was beautifully served, Brussels sprouts divine.
This Italian restaurant is incredibly welcoming, truly a green oasis filled with beautiful houseplants of all sizes. The menu is nicely crafted, and while vegetarian options aren’t abundant, there’s definitely enough to choose from.
We absolutely loved the ravioli and the pizza we ordered. But the real standout? The focaccia bread! It was hands down the best we’ve ever had, amazing with the oil and vinegar.
This is a must-try place for anyone looking for a delightful Italian meal in a charming setting!
