Went there Wednesday around 1630-1700. Wasn’t busy but did take about 5-10 mins before someone came and got us seated. Had 3 adults 3 teens and 1 3yr old. Asked for a booth but was advised that server who works that section was no on so we got seated at a table. No big deal. Got our drinks and food. The food looked great but taste was different. I got the chicken Philly. The chicken was super dry, almost overcooked, the bun it was on was over toasted. Wasn’t burnt but was hard very hard. My wife got the French dip and he bread was toasted but still some what soft. Did not feel like mine. Wasn’t a big fan of my choice. But the server was super helpful but also didn’t get back to us for refills for a bit, and the Togo trays took about 10-15 mins even after asking 2 times for them. Was a little pricey but for that many ppl I expected that. On another note we asked for a plain burger with cheese only. Well they brought out a loaded burger with everything on it. My teen doesn’t do all that stuff on there he’s a picky eater but we asked for plain with cheese. Didn’t get that. When server came back we advised her of what we asked for she stated “I didn’t hear that” it’s ok. She took it back remade him a plain and he didn’t get the cheese only. Just plain so whatever. Better than having all the extra shit on there. Overall the fams food was good mine not so much. Hence the 3 stars. I will most definitely go back to try another thing. I’d say though the best item I did try was the sicilian pepperoni rolls. Those were good. I’d recommend those to anyone.

The “deep dish” old Chicago pizza is no deep dish. It is just baked on a deep dish but the pizza is not even close to being a deep dish Chicago style pizza. Flavor wise okay, but dough is super greasy and thick.
Service wise, not great we had no big plates to serve our “deep dish” style pizza, instead we had those tiny little plates for “entree”, 10-15 min in the waitress finally showed up and we were able to request bigger plates.
They gave us 2 cards for $5 off for next visit but expired on the 7/31/25, how does that work?

My husband and I have always enjoyed Old Chicago and were thrilled to learn of their arrival in Rapid City. We have consistently appreciated both the food and the atmosphere. During our recent visit, we were fortunate to be served by Savanna, a young woman who was an absolute delight. Her friendly demeanor, humor, and extensive menu knowledge made our dining experience truly enjoyable. It was a pleasure to have her as our server, and we intended to return. However, this will no longer be the case. We encountered Savanna at a local store and expressed our hope to see her this weekend, only to learn that she had been let go due to a “bad review.” To the management, both regional and local, this decision was a significant mistake.

We ordered takeout food and the lady who is at the front counter that assisted us was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our food was fresh, flavorful and priced reasonably. We will definately be back in the future and recommend to our friends.

Spent a few days in Rapid City SD looking for a place to eat near the hotel and found this place. Service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. I couldn’t make up my mind gave the server my 2 choices & I went with her suggestion the chicken fried chicken on a bed of mash potatoes and gravy. It was delicious. The personal pizza was also delicious. We got 1/2 through the salad before a picture was taken and one with empty bowl
