Portion is relatively small and the taste is not amazing. There are multiple parts can be improved: 1. need refresh the inside and get better light. It’s dark inside. 2. The chief need to improve their skills on both flavors and heat control. We got both pork dish overcooked. And for the appetizer, besides missing ingredients, it also missing spicy and sweet seasoning. The eggplant is missing the spicy and heat. The spicy chicken nee to be less salty and little bit sweet. Should try their rice noodles since they look good on pictures. By the way, their live fish is fresh and tast good with a pretty okay price.

Stopped here for a late lunch based on lindaeatsworld (Instagram) recommendation. Service was fast and friendly and there were so many food options. We ordered the chengdu won tons in chili oil, ba shu spicy chicken and the Kong pao chicken. Everything was very good but my favorite is the ba shu spicy chicken. I ordered it with medium spice and it was the right amount of spiciness for me. Would definitely go back and try more dishes!

Ate here several times 4-5 years ago, went back again today and it was as good as ever. Wide variety of items on the menu so I can always try something new and unusual if I want. Server was excellent at answering questions about the various dishes.

I’m writing this review while sitting at a table, alone, in Gourmet Kingdom. It’s noon on a Thursday, and I’m the only customer in the whole restaurant… That’s a shame because the food is excellent, and I’m eating some of the best General Tso’s Chicken I’ve ever had… I’ll definitely be coming back. I just hope this place gets enough business to stay open. With food this good, the place should be packed!

The food was absolutely delicious! It was extra appreciated that the manager walked over to us to talk about the menu. He was very kind and took the time to help us find something that we would really enjoy, and he was completely right !! I got the Pecan Shrimp….it was fried shrimp with cantaloupe and pecans in a sweet sauce! I highly recommend this restaurant for either sit-down or to-go

Gourmet Kingdom, or Gourmet Kholesterol, is one of my favorite Chinese eateries in the RTP area. Specializing in Szechuan cooking, GK contains a wide variety of authentic dishes – ranging from different proteins and vegetables. Here are some recommendations; Spicy Szechuan Spicy Fish, Pecan Shrimp , Twice Cooked Pork , Stringed Beans, Garlic Eggplant , and Mapo Tofu are all great dishes.
However, I strayed from the typical pathing and got a soup this time. I tried two: Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the Seafood Rice Noodle Soup. Both provide excellent portion sized. The spicy one definitely has some spice and heat to it. The seafood one is a little bland for my liking but definitely just for some chili oil and douse that ish in like no tomorrow. It’s pretty good. But definitely try that beef noodle soup (comparable or even better, IMO, to Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue). Both are around $8.25 per bowl, definitely bigger servings than any Pho restaurants in the area. Try it

First time here. Owner was doing everything himself outside the kitchen. Food came in very fast. Not big portion but taste really good.

Service was a little slow, but they were polite. Food was pretty good, except the soup which was a little salty… We ordered the fried chicken with three peppers, crispy fish filet, string beans, and bok choy.

The place definitely needs some renovation BUT the food is amazing! Don’t skip the spicy cumin lamb!

This restaurant offers subpar service, despite the quality of its food. Similar quality food can be found elsewhere at similar price point. If you are craving Sichuan cuisine and there are no nearby options, and you are willing to wait an extended period (sometimes up to an hour), then this restaurant may be worth trying.
