We arrived 10mnts before closing and they were so kind to still serve us. I loved that everything is freshly cooked. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes, not bad at all for fresh food. I ordered a chicken Kabab plate, it came with rice, hummus, Greek salad, grilled chicken, and pita bread. The flavors were so delicious and fresh! My husband had a Gyro pocket. He loved the salad it came with and enjoyed it very much as well. We also ordered some curly fries that were topped with feta cheese. So yummy!
Highly recommend this new middle Eastern restaurant that cooks your food fresh and like homemade. You can sit inside or outside it is very pretty and clean. I will definitely be back.

Excellent, high quality food that’s fresh and obviously made with attention to detail. Good portions of food. I got the kabob platter that had humus, a Greek salad, and rice. My wife got the gyros and she had rave reviews. This is a great place and will definitely be back. The soda was fun as well – a lot of good flavors. My favorite was the root beer. Berry lemonade and the cola was good as well.

I was an out-of-town guest looking for Mediterranean food, and we found Shatera. The food and service exceeded my expectations. I ordered chicken Kaboob, and it was delicious; perfectly grilled , tender and removed from the skewer. The portion size was generous and the price very reasonable. And the plate presentation was FANTASTIC ! (See pictures) I highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently visited Shatira in the Gilbert/Queen Creek area and was absolutely blown away. This place serves some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a while. The falafel was a standout—crispy, flavorful, and you could really tell how fresh the ingredients were. The pricing is extremely reasonable given the quality and generous portions.

What really sets Shatira apart is the overall experience. The restaurant is easy to access, making it convenient to drop by, and it’s impeccably clean. They have an open kitchen layout, so you can see the staff at work—everyone wears gloves and hats, and the whole environment is spotless. Compared to other Mediterranean spots around Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Scottsdale, this place really shines because of that homemade quality and genuine Middle Eastern flavor—like something straight out of Palestine, Syria, or Lebanon. In short, it doesn’t matter how big the restaurant is; it’s all about how good the food tastes, and Shatira nails it. Definitely worth a visit!

As a first-timer to Shatera in Gilbert, I was completely charmed by this new and clean Mediterranean spot located in the bustling Cooley Station area. The moment I stepped inside, the bright and vibrant decor made me feel instantly welcome, and the modern vibe is a perfect backdrop for a delicious meal.
The menu is well-rounded and offers a great variety of authentic Mediterranean dishes, from flavorful Halal shawarma and grilled kababs to fresh falafel. I was impressed with the portion sizes—you definitely get a generous amount of delicious, high-quality food for your money. My dish was incredibly tasty, with all the fresh and robust flavors you’d hope for in authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
The only thing to note is that Shatera operates on the principle of making everything fresh, and they have a sign up to let you know your meal will take a little extra time to prepare. While the wait is a bit long compared to typical fast-casual restaurants, it’s absolutely worth it for the quality and freshness. The prices are also slightly on the higher side, but the quality of ingredients and generous portions justify the cost for a true culinary treat. The friendly staff make the entire experience even more pleasant, and I can’t wait to go back to try more of their menu.

This spot is incredible for Mediterranean food! You can tell it’s family owned and like they mention at the register, they are not a fast food restaurant. The wait is worth it, don’t come hangry, and be patient. Everything is very fresh, great ingredients, and generous portions!

Service was EXCELLENT, very welcoming folks here. The food was terrific too, Mrs had the falafel pocket and myself the gyro pocket and we split the curly fry…food was great and cooked to order. Everything was cooked very well, great flavors. We will definitely be back. Thank you SO much for the quality service, it’s very hard to find these days and was greatly appreciated. Great work to all.

I got the falafel sandwich and the curly fries with feta cheese and tzatziki. Everything tasted so good. That eggplant made that sandwich extra yummy but y’all gotta ask for the hot sauce. It’s the best.

This place has some serious quality of Mediterranean food. It’s a simpler menu with roughly 6 variations of different dishes and pita pockets. But let me start off with the pita, thicker, fluffier, and softer than all the other pitas I’ve had.

They make the best pita pocket I’ve ever had. It is filled with an unreal amount of stuff and the flavors are excellent. You can kind of expect that as soon as you walk in and see the nice modern design and how clean the place is.

Now let’s move onto the plates, the quantity that you get is very reasonable for the price. I tried every meat and I honestly cannot tell you that any were worse than the other. They were all excellent from the chicken to the beef/gyro. I’m not a big falafel guy, but I had their entire falafel pocket which they nicely top off with eggplant

Now let’s move onto the drinks, I’ve never talked about fountain drinks at a restaurant before. But they carry Jones fountain drinks, you know those Jones bottle sodas that we all buy.. they have it on tap!

This place is definitely five stars in every way from the people to the food to the atmosphere.

There’s a small spot near us that feels like a secret you stumble upon. My wife and I have tried every Middle Eastern competitor (Green Corner etc) in Arizona, and nothing compares.

The flavors here are honest and enchanting — spiced chicken that tastes like it’s carrying an old recipe across borders, hummus smooth enough to win peace treaties, and dessert that ambushes you in the best way.

This place doesn’t just serve food; it delivers a message: You’ve found authenticity!

Our absolute favorite Middle Eastern spot in Arizona.
