Louisville, do not sleep on this place!
This is some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by JJ himself with a big smile and the most welcoming energy.
Everything is cooked fresh, and you can truly taste the love and pride he puts into his food. The flavors were amazing, and the portions were big enough that I was able to split my meal and enjoy it again the next day.
While I waited for my food, JJ even offered me soup, which he provides for free to customers and anyone in need. You can tell he’s incredibly generous and takes a lot of pride not only in his cooking, but also in helping others. The soup was flavorful, comforting, and absolutely delicious.
I’m so grateful I decided to stop in. This is definitely going to be one of my new favorite spots!

Everything but the to go containers and the plastic bags are made fresh here. The owner JJ took my order and cooked my food as well as offered soup, and grilled tomato and onions. The rice was hot and fresh as well as the skewers that were perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. Definitely skip all the fast food in the area and treat yourself to the love that this owner/operator/chef puts into his business everyday.
Ohhh and the baklava is out of this world!
I will be returning and bringing friends.

I’m ashamed for not trying this place sooner! Everything was delicious. Mr. JJ is one of a kind and passionate about his food.
The healing soup alone was 10/10. The hummus was phenomenal. We’ll definitely be back sooner than later.

Please don’t let the seemingly low budget outdoor vibe mislead you. Step inside. Order something. Enjoy the nice wonderful chicken veggy soup, on the house. Trust me. They put their money where your mouth is, not the vibe. My lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavourful, I wanted to lick up every drop of the amazing broth. The hummus was perfect – the olive oil had to have been top notch. So many flavours, so little time….

Definitely some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had anywhere in this country! The complimentary soup thats in the dining room was such a welcoming warmth on a cold day and full of exotic flavors. We ordered the Lamb Tikka and Chicken Shish and both were absolutely amazing Hummus was prepared perfectly and the salad had all kinds of interesting delicious flavors! We live over an hour away and it was definitely worth the drive Don’t forget the deserts as well because they do not disappoint! Baklava, Peanut Butter Pie, and Red Velvet Cake were all incredible!

VERY delicious food!! Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had. Super creamy and smooth hummus, awesome Baba ganoush and falafel, and honestly, the best of those 3 in town! Plentiful portions and fresh food each time. The grilled tortilla with JJ’s red sauce is a must! I’ve been here twice with my husband, and the second time we brought friends. The chicken shawarma wrap and lamb Gyro are also among our favorite items. Mr. JJ himself checks on you to make sure everything is satisfactory and you feel like family. I look forward to our next visit!

I’m lucky enough to travel down to Louisville from Wisconsin every year to visit friends. I will always make it a point to come to this restaurant. Not only is the food fantastic (seriously it doesn’t matter what you order it will be great) but JJ himself is a great person.
