Placed and order over the phone for 3 tacos. Two were wrong and one was good. I called right away to let them know. They told me to come the next day. I asked 8f i should bring in the tacos, and they said no. I placed the same order the next day, assuming they would compensate my time and effortto go back. They charged me for the taco they got right. Then at the restaurant when I was picking up my order, they asked me to bring them in next time. I told her I asked and she said, for next time. I also asked for one of each on the salsas, and they only gave me red. I think as a restaurant it’s your responsibility to make things right for the customers. I think they could have been more generous when they make a mistake. Asking for the tacos back and charging me for one taco really made me feel like I was not that valuable as a customer. The food is excellent and the service is usually good, but this interaction left me feeling strange and not valued as a customer. They lost a good customer for six dollars. I will take my business somewhere else.

Great place to eat. I love small privately owned “dive “restaurants. This one is off the beat and path from normal San Antonio but I hit it on my way out of town after being in town to eat at a Michelin star Mexican food place. If you’re looking for really good, typical Mexican food give this place a shot and you will not be disappointed. I had the beef enchiladas with Charro beans And rice and everything was great. I loved the Chicharron in the beans

The food is incredible and the owners are lovely. I walked up to this place from downtown San Antonio, and the walk was completely worth it. Real, authentic Mexican food—the flavour was awesome.

They have ready to eat food on the line but we decided to order from the menu. Our food was delicious and we definitely enjoyed it and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Okay, the back room seems to have music that’s a little bit on the loud side, but if you’re into that that’s where you’ll sit. You go up to the counter to order and then they bring everything to your table. Super sweet staff. Carne guisada was red gravy which is not my favorite, but it was okay. Chorizo and egg was very good. Bean and cheese was good. Tacos are a bit on the larger size so order accordingly. You might as well get the tea in it to go because you’re going to want to.

I ordered tacos, the Tortillas were old, the carne guisada tacos were dry, the meat was hard as beef jerky. The bean and cheese was nasty tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. The ham and egg tacos were slimy. I just tossed them all away. $25 I’ll never see again, oh well. I’ll never stop there again.

Food is exellent here. Good homemade tortillas and overal well seasoned food. The ladies are super nice that work there. The place is a little rundown but a great place to eat.

Excellent service! Fast. Very tasty. My favorite is Bacon and Egg breakfast tacos. They are sure to give you a big, thick piece of bacon every single time, unlike other restaurants which give you diced up and skimpy pieces. Go here. Great prices, great location. I would recommend though that they repair or remove the banner outside. It is torn and tattered and does not represent the very tasty and yummy food that awaits you inside.

It was a great experience but the agua frescas were not Fresca. The Jamaica was spoiled. They need to have some air circulation and have their aguas on ice so they don’t spoil too fast.
Also when I told them they got mad like I wasn’t supposed to say anything I asked for water and they just dropped it on my table. We weren’t even rude just asked for water and let them know the drink was bad. Just that one lady everyone else was super nice.
I would go back for those pambasos though very yummy
