I got a gyro, a pizza roll and a large fry and it weighed less than a pound. $22. The large fry was smaller than the palm of my hand. Last time I’m getting anything there other than pizza. I could’ve bought 2lbs of meat, 2 bags of fries and a bag of pizza rolls weighing 4 lbs for that price. Never again. Burger King would’ve filled me up more for less money. The quality wasn’t great either. Completely disappointed.

I don’t know what happened to the quality of food but this is absurd. We ordered a chicken parm sub and this is what it looked like. I had a gyro with extra sauce… it was a disgrace the way they made it. Only 2 pieces of meat just oozing with sauce. Lazy prepared.

Third time here, two times prior weren’t very good. This time was just as mediocre/bad but what struck me was the customer service from the owner. I order a small amount of food, a minute later a cop who’s apparently on old friend orders after me, he gets his big order in 5-10 minutes and I wait for about 15-20 minutes to get mine. We ordered the same chicken finger dinner but his was bigger. Chicken is burnt to hell, french fries are whatever, asked for bbq sauce and didn’t get it but instead was given those cheap packets of orange duck sauce… awesome.

I am a super pizza person and typically have my favorite spot from each town. Athens is truly one of my all time tastiest pizza. I visted the day before Thanksgiving and only got one slice for $3.10. I was treated very kind and the gentlemen ensured I got a nice fresh slice. It meant a lot to be treated with the same kindness as a $30.00 customer.

1st of all we arts there. We ordered 3 things they brought 2 of our things forgot the 3rd so one sat there not eating until they made it. Then brought. It over it was a steak and cheese with extra cheese they cheese was not melted and the geese was dripping thru the subroll. I ordered real veal Cutler. Yea not even veal out was pressed pork treated like crap there was a big crawling on the floor and it was not an ant. They never offerd a discount for forgetting the order. When I went to the counter about the streak n cheese they turned their back to me. Spicy fries had zero kick to it. Not even worth a rating of 1. Horrible place never going back.

We Ordered a chicken finger sub w sauce and provolone lightly toasted. The chicken was dry and the roll was burnt it was hard to bite. The service was a 2 because someone should have noticed this.

We love Athens :)! They make our favorite grilled chicken Cesar salad wraps, the best homemade Greek soup, and delicious crispy fries! We’ve been going to them for years and love the owners—very nice, hardworking people!

if I can give a negative review I would , I been eating here for almost 4 years and I never had a problem til this past weekend where I ordered a cheese burger and caught food poisoning!! The manager or staff that has poor communication told me I should’ve chose a healthier meal needs to be fired and I’m gonna do my best to make sure . Whole restaurant needs to be shut down and order new food ..

i’ve been getting athens for at least 12 years and i can say they are my favorite. like a lot of places it’s hard to find decent workers but the owner is trying his best with what he has. i always see so many regulars going in.
but at night when it’s super busy i have noticed that it takes a little while to get food delivered but when they are having to drive during rush hour and fighting traffic i can’t blame them.
i saw some reviews really trashing Athens but they aren’t a franchise, so when it comes to mistakes they can’t always solve it by giving customers money back. Also they can’t just fire a worker and have them replaced within the week. every worker is needed.
i’ve also heard plenty of stories over the years by the amount of scams they’ve gotten by customers trying to get free food so i can also see their hesitance with returns, or complaints. mainly when they have their family working the sub station and they can trust that they know how to make the same subs that they’ve been making for 40 years.
also prices just went up! which sucks but i got some insight that it took a lot of thought before the owner raised them. it’s crazy just how expensive the world is and how much it must be for a restaurant.
but this place is honestly so great most of the time. but they are a one restaurant location and they are working hard to keep it up and find hard working people to represent that Athens Pizza love!
