I’ve been watching the sign go up for TasteBuddz near Wayfield Foods on Columbia Drive for a while now and was so excited to see a new Black-owned spot in the neighborhood. I actually tried to make it for breakfast twice before and missed the window, but the third time was definitely the charm.
The food was delicious and the space is so warm and cozy. I don’t totally get the pineapple decor, but it’s very inviting nonetheless. The customer service is top tier too. I was greeted with a huge welcome before I even got all the way through the door.
The best part? They have a display of pinned receipts for prepaid meals to help feed the hungry. That kind of charity is amazing to see. I’ll definitely be back!

I had the best experience here. My friends and I wanted to go somewhere to eat. I looked online and found this place on Instagram. I saw some of the food and immediately wanted to go. The nine of us got to the place and started ordering. The owner thanked us for coming and she was extremely nice. Then after about 7 minutes of waiting, the first person’s place came out. After we got our food we left to go eat. Everyone agreed that the food was amazing. I personally got a Beef Astronaut Burger with Chicken Mac & Cheese. I will definitely be coming back after my next visit.

Very meh. The wings were small, almost too small. I ordered honey hot and lemon pepper. The lp was standard fare and I’m fairly certain that I got a mix of sweet chili, mild, and honey for the others. The fries were good though. Crispy and seasoned without being hard. F&L

I am so happy I found this place! My husband got off of work and I said, “babe, I have a new place to try!” Of course he was a little bit skeptical, because who wants to try something new??? From the time I walked into the restaurant it was small, but the aroma made my mouth water. I glanced over the menu for a few moments before ordering the Shrimp Griller for myself and the salmon griller for my husband. Neither of us got the pineapple but I can only imagine how good that is! The food was on point! Very flavorful and in my opinion the portion sizes as perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some flavor! And the young lady working in the front was very polite and I’m glad she recommended the pineapple lemonade because that was amazing too!

I went to this place for the first time and I was extremely impressed with their creativity. I was skeptical at first about eating in the bowl of pineapple but it was fantastic. I made the right choice I suppose. The receptionist was so friendly and even took a picture of us to post on the company’s IG. Though, sitting area isn’t that convenient. So much parking lot even on the busiest days. Don’t be pick and you will enjoy it. Also, don’t forget to take a look at the drawing of the girl on the wall. So sublime!
