My wife and I were hungry for something slightly different. We came to Zocalo as we had been once a couple of years earlier. The Corn and Crab soup is amazing. You get both flavors but neither overwhelmed the other. The Fish Tacos were Perfect.
My wife was recently diagnosed with Alpha Gal. The server was familiar with it and was able to help us through the menu. They Cooked her Salmon in a separate pan to ensure no cross contamination.
Perfect music, great calm atmosphere. 100% will be bringing family and friends here soon.

We love the new zocalo, now under Will’s new ownership. Generous portions and fresh authentic flavors. We went with my in-laws Norman and Sue, who are long time friends of new owner Will. We got both the Mexican as well as Colombian coffees. We started with the pumpkin blossom muffins. I got the Spanish breakfast and my husband got the omelette. So hearty and delicious. And super friendly service. Will gifted us fresh in house made tropical sorbets and another dish, a strawberry sorbet with a round churro pastry. It was so nice to chat with Will. You can tell he is passionate about food. Plus there were a lot of cute decorations and it was so festive for the season. We can’t wait to come back!

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled across this restaurant during their breakfast hours. The atmosphere was great, our waiter (Michael I believe) was also very accommodating. I had the steak and eggs, my husband had the burrito and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The rice was particularly yummy! Great cocktails as well. The owner seems to have a lot of consideration for his customers, as he was super apologetic for being out of a specific ingredient. It wasn’t a big deal to me at all, but it showed a lot of integrity and appreciation for his customers that he was so apologetic. All in all, I will definitely be back.

Had lunch with 2 friends at Zocalo today. We all thought it was amazing!! The presentation is incredible and the food was delicious. The service was pure perfection by our waitress, and the chef who came out to see us. We will be back soon!!

Came here when it was rather empty and dinner just started. I had the spicy tuna to start and it was a lovely presentation. They were able to make it gluten and dairy free. I also had the duck with Swiss chard and side of my choice. I decided on spinach. It’s great that they ask about celiac and are aware of contamination. That’s a huge plus for accessibility. The duck was so good! I would have never thought cranberries on duck would pair together. If you’re in town and looking for an elevated place to go to, look no further.

I ate here with a group of 12. The staff were not very accommodating about splitting the check, though they did put a 20% on the bills. Food was decent. They mixed up at least 1 drink order getting an IPA and a Vienna Lager to the wrong people. I had scallops which were good. I would not recommend this place for large groups.

Go anywhere else.
Came in with a reservation to a relatively empty restaurant. Host decides to seat us right next to 3 other parties, and continues to pack everyone around us in 1 corner of the restaurant for no reason. Took our server another 10 minutes to get to our table. Put in drink order and when they finally came mojitos tasted like they were made either with the flatest soda water, or just outright water, either way they were not good. Cheese plate took a ridiculously long time to come out (considering there was maybe 5 patrons at the bar and 3 other tables so cant see the reason for a hold up there). It was nice except we had like 4 pieces of bread to use and by the time the extra pieces we had asked for arrived we were already done with our entrees. The entrees themselves were good, so good in fact that the food runner kept trying to offer them to the other tables around us, along with our drinks and everything else we ordered. While I didnt care about the upcharges for water and bread, tell me you’re going to upcharge me instead of just dropping it on the Bill, that came off as shady and in poor taste. The 1 dollar per glorified crouton i found to be hilarious given how long it takes anything to come out of the kitchen. Given the other options to eat in the area and the price points being charged here for what we got, we will be spending our money literally anywhere else in the future.

Host – either needs some common sense training, or the server sections should be altered to not have me within literal arms length of every other patron in the restaurant

Server – always seemed to be scrambling for something, but id hate to see performance on a busy night. Seemed like a nice guy, but the surprise upcharges were in poor form.

Kitchen – has 1 speed and its unexceptaly slow. (For being the second table in there i fail to see how it could possibly take them 25 minutes to put 7 pieces of cheese and 4 pieces of bread on a plate)

This place is just a taco bell with makeup on

Overall, it was pretty decent. The service was nice but so. The salmon and shrimp risotto were both pretty good nothing outstanding though. We also try their Apple cider bread, which tasted surprisingly light and good. I really really enjoy their Mojito. The desserts were fabulous. We got the Mexican chocolate bread, pudding, and the carrot cake. Both were wonderful.

My fiancé and I went out to Zocalo and were absolutely blown away! Our server was very attentive and kind, checking in with us multiple times throughout the evening. Every single thing we ate was incredible, especially the spinach salad with fried oysters and halibut special with manchego risotto. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a date night out at this wonderful location!

A really amazing place at the downtown mall! Great Latin/spanish inspired cuisine. I was recently in Barcelona and all the dishes with manchego really took me back to eating there! My halibut was cooked perfectly with crispy skin! This was a daily special so I’m not sure how often it’s on the menu but I would recommend it if it is! My husband got the duck breast and for me it was a bit too sweet for a whole meal but he seemed to enjoy it. The savory bread pudding however was very very good! We had spent the day at the wineries so we didn’t get any drinks but both their cocktail and wine menu looked great, will definitely account for that next time!
