I give 0 stars!! First of all 12/21/25. Pull in at 8:15am and the sign says closed. So we pull up, we were the 1st ones in there! Told them they need to change the sign to open. Staff sitting no hostess to greet us, a regular customer in 7 minutes later, he gets his meal right away because he gets it everyday so we were still waiting for our food at 838am. So I asked nicely if we could get our food. The waitress states it takes a long time to make hash browns and then another excuse that it was taking to long to fry mushrooms for the omelet. After 25 minutes and asking 3 times with us being the very first customer inside then the waitress is nasty and Rude that they had a large to go order but the regular can get his food the minute he sits down and he was 2nd to come in, gets immediately food!! The waitress hostess did NOT greet people upon arrival. I’d shut this place down. 0 reviews. Negative. And I hope the owner contacts me and makes it right! Worst Big Boy in Michigan. So after 25 minutes waiting for our breakfast we headed to Bob Evans across the street where the hospitality was a much different positive experience. When we told the waitress we were leaving she told us it wasn’t her problem. Respect comes and goes a long way especially for the 1st people in the restaurant. We are not entitled at anything in life but this experience today, we do NOT recommend.

Give yourself a good 2 hour window to eat here. The food is good, but the service is SO SLOW. I have been here about 5 times in the last year, and every time, we have to wait at least 45 minutes from ordering to actually getting our food. We’re a family of 4 and we usually get here between 9am – 11am on Sundays. The servers are good, not over-the-top nice or anything, but they do their job. My biggest issue is just how long it takes to get your food and the lack of happiness I guess. As far as the atmosphere, no one really smiles, but you can see they are just doing their job. The TV’s are cool. Portions are average.

Never have I ever seen a manager so incompetent I have personally observed him sitting doing nothing while my partner ran the whole restaurant left early without explaining closing procedures for a store that pulls so little you should really have people that care in a position of power not people who don’t do their job make others do their job. the food is pretty good here the cook is a personality that’s for sure

This was our first time. The restaurant is very clean and I loved the layout of the menu. My granddaughter got a strawberry shake and found it to be delicious. I sampled it and agree. My granddaughter got the Frontier Burger with a rye bun. She is not normally adventurous but found she really enjoyed it. The meat was flavorful, juice and tasted fresh. The condiments, like lettuce was crispy and she enjoyed the big boy sauce. She also enjoyed her French fries. I had a Slim Jim with onion rings. The onion rings were tender and crispy without any greasy oil. The zesty dipping sauce was excellent. The Slim Jim was fresh, crispy bread. The ham and condiments were fresh. I really enjoyed it. Service was very good with smiling, friendly staff. We will definitely go back.

My wife’s order was made wrong, and had to be remade, our pretzel bites were disappointing, and there was only one person serving the whole restaurant and everything took forever. This was by far the worst visit we have had to BigBoy.

I don’t like giving bad reviews but when one is due, it has to be done. I like to visit a place a few times before I give it a review. Simply because I understand there are bad days and good days. Upon my first visit, there is only one other table that had people at it. So I was thinking, sweet, our service is going to be fantastic! Boy I was wrong! We ordered breakfast food for dinner, and even though the main food was just OK, the sausage links tasted like they sat there for the entire day and had been microwaved. Luckily the rest of my meal was mediocre enough to tolerate the bad sausage. Upon our second visit, I decided to order some actual dinner food. This time the service was still slow, with people at 3 other tables, and my food was barely warm and again very mediocre tasting. On our third visit (and will be our last) there were 5 tables with people at them. The service was even worse this time. One person took our drink order and they never brought them out. Another person noticed we had been sitting there for 15 minutes and took our drink order again and brought them out. We ordered our food and it took about 35 minutes to receive it. Again, coming out barely warm. Wile we waited we heard 2 of the tables ask for the manager, and then complained about their food. I ordered onion rings with my meal, the fact that my onion rings were even put on a plate by whomever cooked them, was completely unacceptable! Then to pass them to the waitress and the waitress actually bring them to me is even more unacceptable. They were so burnt I couldn’t even eat them. And at $4 for onion rings you would think someone there would get it straight. I’m not one to complain about my food to someone but this time it needed to be done. When we went to pay the manager rang us up and asked how everything was, I told her the onion rings were unbearable. She made all kinds of excuses and then took the price of the onion rings off from our bill. Just a tip. Apologize, fix, and thank your customers. They do not need to know all the reason why you could have possibly served terrible food to someone. The simple fact those onion rings even made it on a plate by the first person is what is disturbing. I only gave 2 stars because the onion rings were removed from our bill. Sadly I feel this place will close down shortly just like the last 10 businesses that have been in there.

The reason I’m giving this review an one star specifically for Service is because as a DoorDasher, I am genuinely really upset that their hours are “8am – 8pm” and whenever I get orders like tonight, they are closed EARLY! EVERY-TIME their doors are locked! This isn’t the only first time it has happened! Matter a fact, it’s happened too often! I just started Dashing on September 15th and I’ve had 4 or 5 orders from this store and I’ve only ever had ONE successful pick up order! The rest have been due to them closing early! Not trying to be disrespectful be any means! Please please PLEASE stop allowing orders to come through if yall gonna close the store an hour early!

I gave them a 3 because of how long it took to get our food. I have no complaints about the food it was good.
If you need something within an hour you won’t have enough time. Give yourself an hour an a half tops.

Food was horrible outside of the pie it was great! Both dinners were pretty much maybe as good as a microwave dinner quality… Won’t be returning except maybe for the pie…. Really need to step up there game on presentation and food quality.

Such a treat! Back home for a visit from California… and just had to stop in at my childhood fav… BiG BOY…and get my favorite dessert, hot fudge cake! It didn’t disappoint at all!!! And our waitress, Destiny, went over the top to make everything perfect!
