One of the last Indian takeaways we tried in Carlisle after now trying every single takeaway and restaurant. This one is up there with the best. A quality Naga, balti, very good onion bhajis, everything was very good. 6 curries ordered , starters and poppadoms. The vindaloo was extremely hot mind, hotter than the Naga.

This is now our favourite for Indian takeaway food. Highly recommend We have tried a few dishes now, and can’t fault anything, it’s all so tasty, decent portion sizes and reasonable pricing. Never had a problem with the length of delivery time either.

Finally. Since returning to Carlisle 24 years ago, I have tried almost all Indian takeaways and always been disappointed by the use of generic ‘Balti’ base sauce with its wallpaper paste appearance and simply added spices for different dishes. Curry Kingdom however was truly authentic, using proper ghee in the sauce, from start to finish the food had true taste and contained ample meat. If you like it hot try the chicken or other vindaloo – perfection.

Have had two curries delivered from this takeaway and on both occasions the food was very good. Madras and vindaloo are both very tasty with enough difference depending on your taste buds. We are stopping in a lodge so the delivery did take a bit of time, but worth it in the end.

Pilau rice outstanding quality. Pathia dish perfect heat level plus depth of flavour.Tikka chicken succulent and superb and not pre-cooked. Naan dough was slightly heavy could do with a lighter mix. Overall tho fantastic. First time I’ve tried this place. I’ve cooked and eaten Indian and Pakistani dishes for years and decades. This was truly up there with the best. Highly recommend so far.
