Genuinely really disappointed in the decline of service. I used to love this place but just now my dad and I tried to dine in and the staff paid absolutely no attention to us. The guy who let us in looked upset that we were even there, yet a woman came in after us and they attended her faster than us. Mind you I even went to the bathroom and when I came back they still hadn’t given us menus even though the waitress had passed us a few times and wouldn’t even look at us. It’s unfortunate because I was really looking forward to brunch here with my dad but he also felt uncomfortable so we left instead of waiting God knows how much longer for someone to even acknowledge we were there.

I stopped by Embers on 600 San Pablo for breakfast and tried their veggie omelet. The portion was generous, and the vegetables tasted fresh and well-cooked, not soggy like in some other places. The omelet was fluffy and had a nice balance of flavors — nothing overpowering, just a good classic veggie mix. It came with toast and hash browns, which were both crispy and satisfying. The service was friendly and fast, and the cozy diner vibe made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a solid spot for a hearty breakfast!

Been coming here for 25+ years. From the moment you walk in the smell of BBQ makes you feel at home. The staff is a little cranky at time but the service is always great. I have yet to come in here that it wasn’t busy. No frills decor just really great food, at an affordable price, served by hardworking staff that have never disappointed me.

Did take out this time. Had the fried chicken and ribs. The chicken wasnt bad , the ribs had a good smoky flavor but were tough dry and overcooked. It was like eating pork jerky. I dont see a need for a cut in half grilled hamburger bun to be tossed on top. Gordon Ramsey wouldve face palmed at that.
Great quiet place to eat. They have some great bbq and french dip sandwiches but they cannot make a pastrami sandwich very well

The whole experience was wonderful; their menu is complete with pictures and easy to read. although I’ve eaten here several times, it was seamless! Our waitress was extremely thoughtful to bring water (hot, cold & refills), to not rush us & me (while waiting nearly 25 minutes for my guest). The food was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed chocolate chip pancakes with link sausages, and Bob ordered the mushroom omelet, which he thoroughly enjoyed! My bill, including tip, was $31 – reasonable considering I had more to eat at home. Go to Embers & enjoy your experience!

I was taking my old pal Hairlip Louie to Pinole so he could get a new Belson G-Ledder before the end of the current lunar cycle…don’t ask why, and when the Hairlip spotted The Embers BBQ Joint he said “wets gwo eat wear” and that was it we couldn’t go any further without eating.
The Lip’s been here before but this was my first time, and I’ll tell you the Embers puts out some great BBQ!

Great staff, big portions, excellent prices, been there only for breakfast (work related) but i love it. Did try it a second time and this time i invited a coworker, he did liked this place, food portions, and the prices, and as the first time, the staff is wonderful. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Horrific!!! As I was eating pancakes I felt a painful poke in my gums! I pulled a wire out! The treatment from waitress made me tear up. No apology until I told her she needed to. She said it wasn’t her fault. I realized she’s not the Cook! But she represents this establishment!
The Cooks were visibly mortified and came apologize, and offered me whatever my husband and I wanted. In pain and afraid.that more wire would be in the food, we gracefully declined.
The waitress preceded to bring a receipt, which we did not PAY! SHE DID NOT CARE NOR UNDERSTAND THE MAGNITUDE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE!
